Good morning world!

First I want to apologize to those who have had a hard time getting to this blog. I can't figure out why. I type in the URL and it goes right to this page. But others have not been able to get here. I tried it on a different computer and it also went directly to this page. I believe it is the devil trying to keep God's work from getting to others. So, may Jesus be glorified in my writing.
It is so hard to get out of bed on a cold and dark morning. I know I could sleep later and wake up when it gets light but I get so much more done when I get up early.
I pray you slept well. I woke up at about 2 AM and couldn't go back to sleep. I do that a lot. I always get up at least once during the night but sometimes I lay there and toss and turn. Do you do that too? Isn't getting older grand?
But as I said yesterday God is good all the time. I also said there was a time when I felt lonely, etc. not too long ago. Last night my husband said "lonely, how can you be lonely?" Well, for those of you who have been depressed or just feeling really down, you do feel lonely inside. At least I did. It wasn't because I was actually alone, I just had a feeling of loneliness. I guess you had to be there!
Today I would like to talk to you about God's love. Oh, isn't He an awesome God? He loves us so much. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us. Jesus didn't commit all the sins of the world. We did! Someone had to be punished for all sins. Can you imagine if we were the ones who have to die for our sins? We could have been. Shouldn't we? They are our sins. And we do suffer for our sins. Whether we are right with God or not, we die a little inside every time we commit a sin. We feel guilty and guilt can really tear us apart. So, we do suffer. But we will never suffer for our sins like Christ did. He suffered for our sins ultimately. He took them to the cross for us. There is no greater love than that.
It says in Romans 5:8: "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
How can we doubt God's love? Even when we feel lost and lonely, or sinful, God loves us unconditionally. He doesn't dislike us because we sin against Him. He continually loves us. When we fall He picks us up and dusts us off and helps us stand on our feet and loves us. His forgiveness is perfect. But we do need to ask Him to forgive us. Asking is a sign that we acknowledge we have sinned and we humble ourselves to God enough to ask. Sometimes we are embarrassed that we even did that or say that surely we didn't do that. Whatever our excuse is, we ask anyway. And God loves us anyway! He is our Rock and Redeemer and our First Love.
Which brings me to this: Is He your first love? If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it is time. Today is the day of salvation! We don't know what tomorrow will bring. Or if you have fallen away from Him, it is time to come back to Him. Give your life to Jesus. He loves you so much!
1 John 4:9-12 says: "This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us."
So remember that God loves you.
Ask Jesus to come live in your heart and forgive
you of your sin, if you haven't ever done that.
And have a wonderful and blessed day!
Blessings!
