HE LOVES US

Monday      Panama City Beach                                            Good morning! How are you on the last day of the month? It is hard to believe that the 9th month is under our belt. The holiday season is fast approaching. Oh my! I actually bought 3 Christmas presents the other day. I was so proud of myself. Although it used to be that I had most of my shopping done before the end of September. It has been hard for me the last few years for some reason. I know that Christmas is all about Jesus but it is also about family. And my daughter and son-in-law haven't been home for Christmas for two years anyway. So, it just isn't the same when all of you can't get together. The best part is having the grandkids. It makes it more like when our kids were little. I miss that so much, when our kids were little, I mean. But everyone grows up too fast. Times change. And that is one of the best things about Jesus is that He never changes. God is the same yesterday, today,

Sunday                                                  Good morning on this Sabbath Day! May God bless you and bless your day. I pray that you slept well and long. I again woke up about 3:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. I read a bit and then was able to. Maybe I am excited about our soon-coming vacation. I can't wait! The beach here we come. I am really looking forward to it. I love traveling and vacationing. There is just something special about getting away from your every day routine and spending a lot of time with your family or husband, God and nature. I could do it once a month. How about you? I was reading out of a different version of God's Word this morning since I had already packed my Bible for church. The version is the Good News and mine is a New Testament.  For some reason it just seemed to speak to me this morning. It is not really that much different than the NIV but...                        Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord,

FOR HIM

Saturday                                       Good morning to you on this great                                 day that the Lord has made!                                   May God arise and let His                              enemies be scattered! Psalm 68:1 There are so many people against God these days. I am sure that it has always been that way. But it seems that it is worse now days. Or maybe it is just more visible now because of the media. There are many religions out there where they hate God and His people. Oh, they may believe in a god but not the One True God. The God of the universe. Our Creator! God is our judge and these people will be judged accordingly. Oh, I don't like it for them but they are against our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And if they are not for Him, then they are against Him. Oh, they are in for a great awakening.   He who is not with Me is against Me, and he  who does not gather with Me scatters abroad. Matthew 12:30 I certainly don&

PEOPLE NEED THE LORD

Image
Friday Good morning! Have you ever wondered what people think about how you react to situations? Do you get angry? Do you get frustrated? I know that I do. And I want to be a good example of what a Christian should be so that when other people see me, they see Jesus. I don't do a very good job of that.  People need Jesus and if they see a Christian reacting in a godless manner, they are not going to want to give their lives to God. Someone might say, "I don't want to be a Christian if that is how they act." I am praying that God will change my heart so that my reactions are more Christian-like, more like Christ. Create in me a pure heart, O God,      and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 That is what I want, a pure heart. I suppose that won't happen until we get to heaven but I can only pray for that while here on earth. That is what I need so that when people watch me that is what they see.  And since people need the Lo

Thursday Picture I took in the fall of 2010 Good morning on this great day! It did rain all day yesterday and it is raining this morning. I always thought that fall was supposed to by dry and beautiful. I suppose if it is a wet fall the leaves stay on the trees a little longer and the change of colors might be a little later. Well, we will see. Only God knows. And that is the point, only God knows everything. We can think that we know it all, and some people truly think that they do. Well, in the grand scheme of things, we know nothing. And God knows everything. God's Word tells us that God is omniscient. He knows everything. He knows every thing before it happens. The Bible speaks of many things as being predestined or foreordained - big words that mean that God planned them and knew of them before they happened. And He knows us. Because he hath set his love upon me,  therefore will I deliver him:

JESUS CARES

Wednesday Good morning to you! I pray that yesterday was a blessing to you. It was for me. I got to spend the night with my son and family. But when I saw my poor little grandson in such pain it just broke my heart. He is so little. Well, I guess 4 years isn't so little but he is.  Anyway, I heard the baseball being hit and then my son and daughter-in-law jump up and run. I saw the little boy screaming but didn't even realize that he was my grandson. Then it hit me. Sometimes I am a little slow I guess. They took him to the ER and they looked and said take him home and give him Tylenol and rest. I couldn't believe they didn't check him for concussion. Anyway, he was hit right above the right eye. That other little boy only 5 or 6 really hit that ball hard.  I don't like seeing anyone hurt so much but my own grandson, oh my. It just kills you inside just a little. My precious little boy! I guess that is how God must feel when we are hurting. He
