LIVE LIKE CHRIST

Good morning to you! Reading my devotion this morning and then doing a study of God's Word really brought some things to mind. The study started out on John 3:16. But I moved on a few verses: 16  “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17  For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18  He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19  This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20  For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21  But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as havi

LOVE GOD

Good morning! I was thinking the other day about our love for Christ Jesus! Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and we think about how much we love our spouse, boy/girlfriend, friend or whoever else we might wish a valentine. I sent a valentine card to my kids, grandkids, friends and whoever else I love and think of.  We do things like that to or for those we love. I am a little more crafty not love showing, if you know what I mean.  But how much do we love and show love to God? The first thing we should do is: He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your  heart and with all your soul and with all your strength  and with all your mind'; and

Do you even know what Ash Wednesday is? Well, if you don't I am going to tell you with the help of www.gotquestions.org: "Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent . Its official name is “Day of Ashes,” so called because of the practice of rubbing ashes on one’s forehead in the sign of a cross. Since it is exactly 40 days (excluding Sundays) before Easter Sunday , it will always fall on a Wednesday—there cannot be an “Ash Thursday” or “Ash Monday.” The Bible never mentions Ash Wednesday—for that matter, it never mentions Lent. Lent is intended to be a time of self-denial, moderation, fasting, and the forsaking of sinful activities and habits. Ash Wednesday commences this period of spiritual discipline. Ash Wednesday and Lent are observed by most Catholics and so
