PRAY

Good morning on this blessed New Year's Eve day! Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you  would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your  hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that  I will be free from pain." And God granted his request. 1 Chronicles 4:10 I have been praying this prayer for several years. Someone gave me a book written by Bruce Wilkinson called The Prayer of Jabez. I read it and put it into practice. And since I have prayed that prayer everyday, we have been truly blessed. Now that is not all I pray of course, but I do include it. And we were blessed before I started praying that prayer but things have just seemed different and better. I just know that God loves it when we are consistent and persistent in our time with Him and in how and what we pray. He is just a wonderful and awesome and mighty God. I just wanted to share that with you today   Let us not give up meeting together,   as some are in the ha

Good morning on this blessed day that the Lord has made! Help us, Lord, to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow you. May we be the salt and light to those around us as we help others to know You. Help us to be a witness for you in this lost and dying world around us. In Jesus Name, Amen. We are God's messengers in the world around us. Whether we witness to our family and friends or go outside our comfort zone, it doesn't matter as long as we do it. God gives each of us the Great Commission. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,    baptizing them in the name of the Father and  of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,   and teaching   them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20  God has plans for each of us and for everyone of us it includes the Great Commission, I believe. So, whatever in our lives we do we are to be a witness for Him.

HE IS WITH YOU

... but not with God ; all things are possible with God .” – Mark 10:27 Hello! Greetings on this blessed day! Are you ready for the new year? I am and I am not. I am because God is an awesome God and it is always wonderful to see what He does in my life and my family's lives. And then again I am always a little scared of a new year. With all the world and our great country are going through at this time, it is really hard to know what is going to happen in the days to come. Some people predict doom and gloom type stuff and some people say it won't get worse. I tend to believe it will get worse because the Bible talks about things happening before Jesus comes back. I guess that is where we really have to trust God. We don't know what will happen in the future but God does. And no matter what that might be He will help us and get us through it good or bad. He is always with us and will never leave us. He is amazing! And so I trust Him and know that what

Good morning two days after Christmas! May God be gracious to us and bless us and  make his face shine upon us, "Selah" Psalm 67:1 Well, my family is still here and I love it even through the noise and chaos. I wouldn't have it any other way. The lack of sleep is kind of getting old. I am going to need a month to catch up. My husband doesn't feel well at all. I think that he is just over tired. We are sleeping in the den downstairs with him on the couch and me on an air mattress. He isn't sleeping much and I have been cold every night. I even had 3 blankets under me and 3 over me. Air mattresses are cold in cool weather. It is almost New Year's Day. Are you going to do a resolution this new year? How many times have we made one and a few days or weeks or months later forgot about it or gave up on it because we just couldn't keep it. I have. I guess it is just not that important. I don't know. Maybe I won't

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Did you have an awesome day? Today is the birthday of the King, our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS! May He be loved and honored and praised and glorified! May He be high and lifted up! "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and  the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his  name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty  God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 As I said before Jesus is the Reason for the season and He is the Heart of Christmas and wise men still seek Him. I am sure there are more of these cliches but they are all true.  Please take time to reflect on how Jesus has changed your life for the better. Then take the time to thank Him and praise Him for what He has done. For He is worthy! Have a great last few days of 2013! Love,           Les (lesbear)

IMITATION

Good morning! Are you doing well this fine day? I pray that you are and that you are ready for Christmas. I pray that you are de-stressed and ready to celebrate the birthday of the Newborn King.  Thank you, my readers for reading my blog for a year and 2 months. When I started it with the help and inspiration from God I knew that He wanted me to do this every day and I have. Although every once in a while I have posted a day late or hours late. I said I was going to do this and have it posted by 9 AM. I have missed a few of those times also. I have enjoyed every minute of it. Many of the posts were written at 2, 3, or 4 AM when I couldn't sleep. All this to say how much I appreciate and thank each person who has read or reads my blog. I can't thank you enough. I am though, this new year, going to not be so regimented on my times and days. If I miss a day, that's fine. If I post it at 11 AM instead of 9, that is fine also.  I do try to be very consistent but

PRAY

I just found this blog that I wrote on the 20th and never posted. Am I too busy for my own good or what? 12-20 Good morning to you! I pray that you are well today. I sure am. God is so good. Our daughter and son-in-law will be here tomorrow night. I am so excited. They haven't been home for two years. And my son and family will be here late on Christmas Eve. Pray for traveling safety from South Florida and middle Tennessee. Let's also pray for those who are hurting. I know that there are so many that are sick at this time. Or those who for some reason are very sad and that is not how we want to be at this time of the year. But it happens. Only God knows what others are going through. So, we don't need to know the details to pray for someone. We can just lift up their name to the Lord, and He will hear our prayers and know every detail of the situation.  I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers,   intercession and thanksgiving be ma

WORSHIP THE NEWBORN KING

Good morning on this 4th Sunday of Advent! I pray that you have blessed in this Advent/Christmas season. I sure have. God has blessed us exceedingly. May the next few days leading to Christmas Day be full of fun and joy and cheer knowing that Jesus loves you and He was born a babe in a manger just for you.  Well, our house is mostly finished from our renovation and we are so pleased. There are just a few more things that need to be put together in our house to be back together completely. Our daughter and son-in-law arrived last night so they will help us. The main thing is the wall to wall to ceiling book shelf in my craft room which probably has about a thousand books that go on it. They are stacked next to the bed they are sleeping on. Oh my! They will have much more room in the bedroom once that is taken care of.  I just want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and remember this: Jesus loves you and wants you to be filled up to overflowing with His love. HIS GLORY & BLESSINGS

Good morning! How are you this fine day? I pray that you are doing great. Now are you ready for Christmas? Are you stressed? I hope you are ready and are not stressed. I had a problem with that yesterday. I kind of had some anxiety problems. I just had a few hours of great stress and I kind of lost it a little. I had a little trouble breathing and such. But then I felt much better later on. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow! I got work done at the house. My husband got the kitchen faucet and sink replaced. It looks so nice. I just praise the Lord for the progress on the house. Now I need to decorate for Christmas upstairs. I have only put out a couple of things. Just the completion of most of the things we were doing to fix up our home at this time has made me feel so much better. As I said I give all the glory and honor and praise to God. saying: "Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom  and thanks and honor and power and strength  be to our God for ever and

Good morning to you! May God pour His blessings on you forever and evermore! I pray that you had a wonderful day yesterday. Those kinds of things I will never know. But we can only or I can only trust God that you, my precious reader, are having wonderful days. Remember that joy is from the Lord. Happiness is from the Lord. Everything good in our lives is from the Lord God Almighty. And those things in our lives that are not so good are from the evil one.  God does not do bad things in our lives. He allows things to happen but He does not do bad things to us. I know that there are some people that believe that God causes bad things to happen to people but that is just not true. In the beginning of mankind God gave us free will. And Adam and Eve did the one thing that God told them not to do. And this one thing allowed sin into the world, humanly speaking. And from then on it was downhill. At least as far as sin goes. But I had never thought of this before. Adam and E

HELP OTHERS

Good morning on this blessed Wednesday! I pray that you had a great day yesterday. I sure did. I am praising God for His great blessings and plans. He is so great and greatly to be praised. He is an awesome God! This has been an extremely busy and a little stressful few weeks. But God knows these things and knows exactly what we need when we need it. He knows our hearts. He knows our minds. He knows everything. And He certainly knows when we don't keep our focus on Him. I pray that in the next week especially that you would keep your heart and mind focused on Jesus because without Him we would not have Christ-mas! Also, there are always many people hurting at this time of the year, so pray for them and do what you can to help them. We will always have "others" in our lives, so let us focus on Jesus and help others no matter who they are.  They can be family, friends, or acquaintances, or someone we don't even know.  But God wants us to:  'Lov

SMALL THINGS

Image
Good morning on this blessed morning! I pray that you had a wonderful day yesterday. We did. We got one of our big to dos done on our renovation. I am so excited. And it is so beautiful. And I praise the Lord that He allowed us to do it. There was 5 guys working on it and they said it would take two days. About half way through the day, they told us that they could get it all done if they stayed until 6 PM. Well, they were leaving at 9 PM. We stayed up until 12:30 AM doing some things that we needed to do before we could put the furniture back in. Well, we never or almost never stay up that late. So, I got to sleep in until about 7:30. And time to get started again. Getting the house back in order and decorating for Christmas will be fun and nearly impossible. But with God all things are possible. God cares about even the small things. I am reading a book called God is in the Small Stuff at Christmas by Bruce and Stan. God is not only in the small stuff but in everything

JESUS IS...

Good morning to you! Check out this website: http://www.xmasclock.com/ It gives you a countdown until Christmas and you can leave it on your desktop, if you want to stay online for 8 days. Pretty cool! I can't wait until Christmas because my kids and grandchildren will be here. It is always so much fun. It is a little noisy and chaotic at times and I love every second of it. So, as you count down the days until Christmas, remember that Jesus is the heart of Christmas. That He is the reason we have Christmas and celebrate it. Because it is the Birthday of the King. And without our beloved King of kings and Lord of lords we would not even have Christmas. So, when we come across someone who is very secular and doesn't believe, let them know that Christmas is all about Jesus.  Christmas may be very commercial and secular these days, but we can worship the King if and when we want to, and it has nothing to do with others. It is our time to praise and worship
