FAMILY

Image
Good morning! I was so proud to be able to see my grandchildren and son and daughter-in-law yesterday. I went up on Thurs. and stayed over and came home yesterday. I don't get to do it very often. They are so precious. It is always a blessing to me to spend time with them. To touch them and hug them and kiss them. That is like heaven for me. I hadn't seen my new grandbaby since he was born two months ago. He is just as sweet as ever just like all of them. This may be a small thing to some of you but for me it is huge and so special. It just goes to show you that God is in the big things and in the small things. When you live a couple of hours or more from your family you don't get to see them very often. Life is so busy for everyone. That is the sign of the times for us all, I guess. I did get to see my oldest grandson hit a homerun and catch a fly ball in t-ball. In the rain to top it off. Yes, they played in the rain. One of the games was a replay because

NOT A FEELING BUT GRACE

God's creation from one of our trips Good morning to you, my friends! You are truly blessed by God. And so am I. We sometimes want to feel Jesus in us. When we ask Jesus into our heart we want to feel. Well, salvation is not a feeling, it is a fact. God's Word says this: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only  Son, that whoever believes in him should  not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16 Because, if you confess with your mouth that  Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God  raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  Romans 10:9 But to all who did receive him, who believed  in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,   John 1:12 So if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, you are saved. That is all you have to do to be saved. It is a free gift and a promise from God, not something you feel. Now sometimes we feel His presence by the pow

MORE THAN WE ASK

Returning from Key West 2012 Good morning! What a blessed new day! For the director of music. With stringed instruments.  A psalm. A song. May God be gracious to us  and bless us and make his face shine on us-- Psalm 67:1 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify  you through and through. May your whole  spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ.  The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.  1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 It is amazing how much God can and will do. He will be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us. He will sanctify us through and through. He will help us be blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Not perfect but blameless because of what Jesus has done for us. He calls us to Him and He will do it because He is faithful. Wow! This is just a very small part of what He will do. He loves us and will do more than we can ever hope for. Now to him who is able to

KNOW HIM

Image
Good morning to you! May God bless you with his special favor and  wonderful peace as you come to know  Jesus, our God and Lord,   better and better. 2 Peter 1:2 Don't you want God to bless you with His special favor and wonderful peace? I sure do. In order for that to happen we must come to know Jesus better and better as our God and our Lord.  I want to do that. I really do and I try each and every day. But isn't it true that sometimes in life it is one step forward and two steps backward for us? But then again maybe it wouldn't be like that if we come to know Jesus better and better. So, I am going to try to be a better person in all the roles that I play: wife, mom, sister, daughter, etc. It isn't easy but Jesus will transform us a little each day if we strive to know Him better. Some days it is easy and some days it is not. Sometimes we show our true colors in circumstances beyond our control or even when they are in our control. And

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Image
Good morning on this blessed day! Who in your family served our country in the military? Who deserves honor and memory for doing the same? How blessed we are to have people in our country who were and are willing to give their lives for their country. Our country! My husband and most of his brothers, 4 of the 5, and his father, served in the military of the United States of America. His father and one brother retired military. My father served also. I am not bragging but I am saying how proud we are of them. Not only do the military sacrifice for their country but also their families sacrifice and sometimes suffer. How patriotic are you? We should be very, very patriotic. Sure our country is in a shambles at this point. Sure things don't go as we think they should. But in all reality God is in control. We need to trust Him in all circumstances. It is man, many men and women, who have gotten us in the trouble we are in as a country. It didn't happen overnight. I

HE'S COMING BACK

Key West Sunset, July 2012. It wasn't  the prettiest but it still was pretty!  And I can see God in any sunset! Good morning! Forgive me! I have missed two days of writing. My parents have been here since Wednesday and I have tried not to do the "evil" thing and be on the computer all the time. But I was sort of anyways because my little job requires me to. I just didn't want to do any more than that. So I didn't. My parents left today and I had plenty to do. But I am so thankful that I have them and that they came to see us. I was going to see them this week when I got a call saying that they were coming to see us. As much as I don't really want them driving this far, it was so great to see them. I just have to trust God to protect them in their travels. Now may the God of peace make you holy in every  way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body  be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 1 Thessalonians 5:23

THE LORD

Image
Good morning to you! Tuesday: Blessed be the name of the Lord! I am praising the Lord for His love, mercy and grace. My day yesterday was so busy and so tiring but God helped me and I got lots done. I am so thankful. I have another day tomorrow that will be extremely busy but God is great and I know that He will be with me. Wednesday: That is all I got written yesterday because I had so much to do. That is the best I could do. But I am back today. As I said the other day, I added a part-time job to the very busy life that I already had. And I am doing it but until I get myself organized, other things will be interrupted. And obviously they have been. But as I have said before, God is here with us to help us so we can see our way through the muckity-muck of life. He is taking care of us. He is loving us. He is leading and guiding us. He will never leave us. He loves us with an everlasting kind of love. Of David. The LORD is my light and my  salvation-- whom shall I fear

GOD'S PLANS

Image
Somewhere near Del Ray, FL on one of our trips. Good morning! Sometimes I feel I spend too much time talking about me. Well, the whole point of this blog was to tell what God has done for me. Then it seemed as time went on I had told everything about me, well not everything, but what God told me to. So, I have tried to move into what God wants us to do as His people and then only a little bit about me.  For I know the plans I have for you," declares  the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to  harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 I do know that God has a plan for each of our lives, not only as a whole, but each day, week, and so on. I had been asking God to give me a way to make a little bit of money since a left my job two years ago. Has it really been that long? Anyway, about a month ago He did just that (praise God from Whom all blessings flow) and I work at home for one of my business managers. As much as I wanted to

GOD IS SO GOOD

Good morning! Work is piling up around me at this time and God is going to help me with this. Because God is good all the time and all the time God is good! For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100:5 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:1 God is good and He loves you more than you know. Have a blessed day! Lesbear

MORE BLESSINGS

Image
Taken in Cozumel, Mexico Good morning!  May God bless you and keep you and give  you peace that passeth all understanding. (From Numbers 6:24-26 & Philippians 4:7) How are you on this great Sunday? After such a busy day yesterday, I went to an outside wedding at 5 pm and it was raining and cold. But God worked it out and it was beautiful. Still cold! And it was still outside. They didn't move it inside. It was awesome and the beautiful couple looked so happy and in love. I know that is the way that it is supposed to be. But they seemed over the top! It was wonderful. Praise God for His many blessings to us!  “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 Taste and see that the Lord is

GOD'S WAY

Good morning to you! How is everything with you? Another busy day yesterday and again today. We have an outside Relay for Life activity in our fair city and it is supposed to rain. Help Lord! This is a big fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. And it is only 42*. And then this afternoon I am going to an outside wedding. Go figure! Some how, some way, the Lord will work it out. Let's remember that our plans are not always God's plans. Sometimes our plans get thwarted for a reason. We may never know what that reason is but God does. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither  are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8 Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but  it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.  Proverbs 19:21 So you see that God's way will prevail. And His way will be so much better than ours could ever be. When things don't go as you planned it. Don't fret! For God has a better way. Have

DEPEND

Image
Good morning! We are going to have one of those extremely busy and stressful weekends this week. So, much going on in our lives and we just can't do it all. I even had to say no to seeing my grandchildren and family because of all the other activities I already said yes and committed to. When you are committed to something you need to do it. You have people depending on you. And that is how I need to do it. My devotion this morning had this scripture and it was so good. I am using this version of the Bible because it is so plain and understandable. 2 Corinthians 12:7-10            Living Bible (TLB)   7  I will say this: because these experiences I had were so tremendous, God was afraid I might be puffed up by them; so I was given a physical condition which has been a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to hurt and bother me and prick my pride. 8  Three different times I begged God to make me well again. 9  Each time he said, “No. But I am with you; t
