STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES

These are on our road.            Good morning to you on this beautiful  day that the Lord has made! Wow! I didn't realize how long it has been since I wrote on this blog. It was almost 3 weeks ago on my daughter's 30th birthday.  Boy time flies! They say when you are having fun. I have had such a busy month of March. As I have said before life is supposed to get less busy when you get older, right? It hasn't happened yet. I am still busy as ever. I do always spend time with my Lord in the morning every day but there is always too much to do.  Is that satan trying to take our focus off Jesus?  I have heard that, and I want to share part of a post I made (from Sept. 2014) that I have shared a couple of times, but it is worth remembering. And then I will post a few spring pictures and I just moved them from the bottom to the top. I will also post the BUSY words instead of giving you a link to go to it. "Being Under Satan's Yoke

WAIT ON THE LORD

I am ready for spring and summer. How about you? Good morning! I know for a fact that you have found that things sometimes aren't the way that you think they should be. I am going through that right now. So, I am praying for God's will and His outcome. God knows our hearts and wants us to trust Him no matter what plan He brings forth. And if His plan is different than my plan then actually that is better because He knows best.  That doesn't make it any easier to go through. But I know that I must wait on God and I guess I am not the most patient person. I want to know what is going to happen now so I can plan. But sometimes that is not to be. I am a planner. I write everything down but I am thinking now that is not what God wants me to do. He wants me to totally depend on Him! So, as hard as that will be, that is what I will do. I am also asking you to pray with me that in this situation God's will will be done. Jere

GIVING THANKS

Our yard! Our driveway! Our road! Good morning! Hello! I wrote this actually on the 27th of Feb. and never posted it, but I didn't want to not post. So, here goes! How are you faring today? Well, it is still white outside. We had about 7" of snow hit us on Wed. night. We don't live in a place where we get that much snow. So, things come a little at a stand still. Schools and businesses close. We don't have snow plows here to scrape the roads, at least where we live, in the country. Every once in awhile they brine (liquid salt) the roads ahead of time. But they only have enough to do the main roads and when we have as many snow events like we had this year, they run out and don't have the money to get more. Therefore when it snows like it did this last time the roads weren't salted. It has been beautiful for sure but it has certainly gotten old. We are very grateful that we don't live in a place like Boston where it has
