GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US

Image
This is at Panama City Beach a few years ago. The beach is my happy place. It always calms me! Good morning!  It has been quite awhile since I have posted anything. But this morning I feel God nudging me to do it today. I have not slept very well the last few nights. Before that I have been sleeping great. But this is nothing new. When I have something going on I do get nervous for Christmas programs, etc.  One thing on my mind is our daughter's presentation today. A few weeks ago she was named Teacher of the Year at her school. We are so very proud of her. But that entails much more after that. That award puts her in the running for Teacher of the Year in their region. (She works at an Imagine School which is a charter school.) Well, it all happens today, this very morning. She has a 40 minute interview with the imagine team and then that team watches her teach for an hour. I can imagine how scared she is as well as stressed. We told her just to be hers

CHRIST IS...

Bald River Falls, Tellico Plains, TN  I love to share beautiful scenery  of what God has created! Good morning to you! I have not written in a while but I would like to try and do it more often. Catch the word "try".   I have really had a heart for a scripture lately. This scripture is: Colossians 3:11. It has really touched me. At least the one part has got to me. It is in my mind forever. I can't get it out of my mind and I don't want to. It didn't touch me as much until recently when I read it in the New Living Translation (NLT). I will quote it first in the New International Version (NIV) and then in the NLT. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Colossians 3:11 NIV In this new life, it doesn't matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters , and

GOD IS GOOD SO DON'T HOLD BACK

Read this ! God is good . But I wanted you to know that when we got to Mississippi, we had no internet and on the Choctaw Reservation we had no cell service. And in order to get on this blogger I had to have my passwor d which I don't normally carry with me. So, I had to post my Choctaw blog on Facebook. So forgive me ! (Added August 9, 2017) Good morning! It has been awhile since I have written here but I only do it when I feel God wants me to as apposed to when I first started this in 2012 and wrote every single day. Some days it was hard to do! So, God changed that. Isn't He good? I would like to share with you, that starting on June 25 I will start posting pictures and blogging here about the Choctaw Mission Trip. I will be busier than normal this year as I will be teaching a class so I will not be the normal photographer who gets to go around taking pictures of the classes as Vacation Bible School progresses throughout the week. The good thing about this change is

SEEK ME!

Image
This is where I see part of God's  glory and that is in His creation.  This is Philippsburg, St. Maarten  in the southern Caribbean. Good morning! I was praying and reading God's Word as I most always do first thing in the morning. I try real hard. This scripture came to my mind: if my people, who are called by my name, will humble  themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from  their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.                   2 Chronicles 7:14 What struck me were the words "seek My face". What exactly is that? How do I do it? That is exactly what I want to do with my life is seek the face of Jesus. Just think, if everyone in the world would do that we would be in heaven on earth. Which will happen one day!   My heart says of you, "Seek his  face!" Your face, LORD, I will seek. Psalm 27:8 In my mind doing that means we must do all of these things: to lo

A CHOICE

Just 3 more days and spring will be here! Yay! Good morning! Singing : This is the day the LORD has made.  We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 NLT For those of you who don't know the song! This is the Day Is this the way you begin each day? Or do you wake up grumpy?  I have always been a positive person. Well, at least most of the time. It is easy to fall into the trap of negativity. Woe is me kind of stuff. It is a choice if we are positive or negative. I choose to be as positive I can. My grandsons were here for 3 days. I loved every minute of the time with them. It can get a little chaotic sometimes and, of course, a little tiring. (Grandparents certainly know why young people have children.) I can't imagine how Abraham and Sarah handled having a child when he was 100 and she was, I think, 91. Genesis 18:1-15: Genesis 21:1-7. But with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 NIV . And: I can do all things through Christ which

NEW LIFE

Image
The tree in my yard outside my window! All the red spots are  buds although they are not real visible in this picture. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ  give you grace and peace.   Ephesians 1:2 NLT Good morning! I am sitting here looking out the window at a tree in my yard. It is February 3 and it is budding already. This means that the tree thinks that it is the start of spring since it has been so warm on and off. The buds are ready to burst forth with new life! We have had cold times this winter thus far but not an extended period. Although today it is cold, about 40*, and somewhat windy. But once the tree starts to bud it doesn't stop unless we have significant freezing weather and the buds freeze and die. We have seasons in our life where things are going really well so we praise God or things are so well we don't need God, so we don't even talk to Him. Shame on us! We also have seasons in our life that things don't go well
