Good morning!  I praise God from Whom all blessings flow! He is so good to us. Pray for my husband who has gone to Oklahoma City area to work with the clean up after the deadly tornado in Moore. And of course, their was another deadly tornado there again today. But God is good. And His mercies endureth forever. For the next few days my blogs will be shorter. But I am sure that some of you are happy about that. As I have said before my intentions were for them to be short and sweet but believe it or not it is not that easy. I guess that I ramble a bit so I apologize for that. But I feel that doing this has really helped me and I thank God for telling me to do this. Yet give attention to your servant’s  prayer and his plea for mercy, Lord   my God. No matter what we are going through God is good. He is awesome. He hears our prayers and answers them. Now they may not be what we want or expect but He knows what we need and what is best for us. He knows who we are all the way to knowing the number of hairs on our head. He created us and made us who we are and He made us in His own image. How great is that? When we are having difficulties in our life, and we don't feel worthy, remember it is not about us, it is about Jesus. If we can just think about Him and not ourselves. I know that is really hard to do but that is what it will take to bring us through it.

Good morning to you! Hope you had a great night. I wish I could say that I did. I mentioned the other day that I didn't feel very well. I have gotten worse. It almost feels like strep throat. So, I tossed and turned and coughed and what have you all night and didn't sleep much. And I am supposed to go out of town. We shall see. Such is life.  If everyday was perfect, it might get kind of boring. I would love to live perfect at least to see what it is like. Then maybe I wouldn't because then I wouldn't ever want to go back to imperfect.  So, I guess I will just praise the Lord for His grace and mercy and His healing touch He will give me very soon.     Good morning to you this fine day! May all be well with you and yours. I am not feeling very well today. Maybe I am just tired. It was a very busy weekend. I know that my allergies are showing their ugly face today. I also have a ganglion cyst on my left foot below the outside ankle bone and some days it even hurts to walk. Today is one of those days. But I will be just fine. God will take care of me as the hymn goes.  Sunday at church we had special singers. One couple sang a song called "Beloved, Come Away With Me". It is about Jesus wanting us to come away with Him. Follow Him. Live for Him. Die to self for Him. Love Him. Praise Him. Worship Him. That is what I want to do all the days of my life. I don't do such a good job. I can always to better. And I can't do it without Him. I need to do my part but I still need Jesus as my Pilot. I don't want Him as my co-pilot but I want Him as my Pilot.    I want Jesus to lead me, guide me, and direct

       Good morning on this Memorial Day! With the pitter-patter of little feet around me (my grandkids), I thank God for the men and women who served our country and lost their lives in the process in order for us to have the freedom that we have today. My Dad was in the Army. My father-in-law retired from the Air Force. My step-dad was a Marine. One of my brother-in-laws was in the Army and three were in the Air Force which one of them retired from and my husband was in the California Air National Guard for seven years.  None of them lost their lives in the military but they still are my heroes. Some of them were drafted but some of them served their time because they wanted to. They gave of themselves in order to serve our country so that we would have freedom in the United States of America as well as the countries they served in.  Some other countries don't do so well in the freedom department but in the USA we are still pretty much the land of the free a

Good morning to you! My son and family came yesterday. I am so blessed! I just love it when I get to see them. It is not often enough. We bbq'd hamburgers and hot dogs, traditional Memorial Day fare, I guess. I just love making hamburgers at home. They are so good.  Then, we went outside and practiced t-ball. They are both on t-ball teams. Evan did some real good hitting. He is going to be a great slugger. Even when the tee goes flying with it. I just love that kind of stuff. Then, I got cold and the bugs were out. Can you believe it? Memorial Day weekend and I got cold. It only got up to 76* yesterday. And yesterday morning it was only in the 40's. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things  and be in health, just as your soul prospers.  For  I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and  testified of the truth that is in you, just as you  walk in the truth.  I have no greater joy than  to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 2-4 Be

Good morning on this beautiful spring day! Please forgive me for not getting this blog posted by 9 AM. Just got busy with getting ready for our son and family to come. I am so excited. It has been so long since they have been here. My husband even made a pumpkin pie with homemade pie crust. I have got to do some planting of flowers today also. They have been outside sitting there waiting for about 3 weeks. It's time! God loves us, you know! He loves us no matter what. He loves us even when we don't feel loved or when we don't love ourselves. Meditate on these Bible verses. Good morning to you! This will be a very busy day for us. Our son and family are supposed to come tomorrow. I am so excited. But I don't know for sure yet. Do I clean or not? Do I shop for all the groceries they need or not? I will have to depend on the Lord to do what I need to do. Good morning this great day! I hope you didn't have too many storms where you live last night. The last couple of days have been very scary in some places. I talked to my Dad in Arkansas after the tornadoes in Oklahoma. He said they were coming their way when he talked to my husband. So, I called my Dad to check on him a while later and they were 20 miles from home in a restaurant eating dinner.  And then during the night, the tornado siren went on and they heard about it the next morning. They didn't even hear the siren. They do have a tornado shelter in their garage but if they don't hear the siren what good does it do. We just need to pray for peace and comfort for everyone affected by tornadoes. So, when we feel God somehow warning us to go a different way or do this or don't do that, if we don't hear Him and don't heed the warning, what good does it do. Good morning on this beautiful Tuesday! Hope your night was as good as mine. I am at my son and daughter-in-law's. We are getting ready for my oldest grandson's kindergarten graduation. It seems like only yesterday that I was holding him in my arms right after he was born.  He was reading a book to me yesterday afternoon. I was amazed to hear him read to me and he was telling me all about the state of Tennessee, the state bird, and state wild animal, the state flag and such. He was telling me the names of the states. Wow! They learn so much in kindergarten these days. It is not just play time anymore. And that is good because I heard that children learn more quickly during their early years than at any other time in life. Or something amazing like that anyway.
