GOD IS SO GOOD!

Beautiful day taken between the dorms  and Pushmataha Family Life Center  at the Choctaw UM Mission. Good morning! We serve an awesome God! Every year on the mission trip, it is the same God we serve. But also every year is different battles. But God triumphed here in Mississippi this year and we praise His holy Name! Much work was done. Much ministry was done. Much love is in our team. And much, much love was given to the Choctaw people. We have had many God moments this week. Too many to name. But God is so good and we praise His Holy Name. I apologize for not sending more details and pictures of our mission trip this year. We were exceptionally busy during this week trying to fit it all in. We were very exhausted. We were very hot. The heat index was 112 degrees the last night when we had the carnival, which was outside! God helped us do it. There were over 200 people there from the Bogue Chitto community. A lot of parents brought their children to th

GOD MOMENTS

Monday: Hello! Much time has passed since I have had time to write here and tell you what God has done. God is amazing and good all the time! But this special time on the Choctaw Mission Trip always touches my heart. Time spent sharing the love of Jesus with the Choctaw adults and children is always such a blessing. We have been coming for so many years that we know the people and they know us. And to me that is wonderful and a blessing! Many things don't always go as we would hope. We got here and had a desperate problem-little to no water. Which means that the night we got here to Philadelphia, MS for the Choctaw Mission Trip, 35 people, our team, after working 4 1/2 hours unloading a bus, 2 vans, 2 trailers, cars, cleaning 4 bunk houses, organizing the kitchen, supplies and everything else. It was 92 degrees. Probably 90% humidity. And that was after traveling 6-7 hours to get here. We did not have any water so didn't get showers. Maybe I shouldn't admit these things

HE IS WITH ME

Greetings in the Name of Jesus! A lot has been going on around here the past two weeks. Or you could say a lot has not been going on around here the past two weeks. Either way it is true! Before I start I have to say that God is awesome and amazing and that by Jesus stripes we are healed. Anyway, on February 1 I left to go to North Carolina to visit my Dad and my sister. My brother-in-law is working out of town so I had a wonderful visit with them. Not because he was out of town. Well, you know what I mean. My sister works so it was dad and me when she was at work.  Dad has been coughing on and off for several months, ever since he was in California and evacuated by the fires in Santa Rosa. He has sounded hoarse and hasn't felt that good. So, I was to leave for my 5 hour drive home on Tuesday. Dad was able to get in to see the doctor on Monday afternoon. I was able to take him although he said that he didn't need me to. Dr. saw him and we told him of dad

DON'T BE GRUMBLING

This is where I want to be!    Saint George Basseterre  Parish , St Kitts.                     I was even there once! Good morning to you this fine and gorgeous, sunshiny day! Well, the sun hasn't come up yet but it is supposed to. At least where we are in the state of Tennessee! (I just came back to say, it is cloudy but the sun is shining somewhere!) I know the weather has been very cold and wintery in a lot of places but you know that it is wintertime, right? We can complain all we want about the rain or snow or ice or cold air but it won't do any good. For God made the earth He gave us and He created the seasons, and He gave us free will. If we don't like the weather where we live, we can move! Well, I will tell you a few weeks ago on New Year's Eve we did go to Florida to our daughter and son-in-law's new home to visit since we had most of their Christmas presents and they didn't get to come home for Christmas because of moving. We are tr
