GOD'S LOVE AND FORGIVENESS

A blog hasn't been written here in a long time, well, since May. It isn't because I haven't wanted to. It just seems like life flies by and the time just hasn't been there. But that is okay!

I have noticed on others blogger's pages that they didn't blog every day either. Actually, I did do it every day for well over a year. I felt God calling me to do that. To tell some of my story. To encourage others. To tell others how much Jesus loves them!

And for those who read it faithfully, I am so thankful to you. If you have never read this before, I hope that you will go back and read my blog. The dates really don't matter. It is the content that matters. And I hope and pray that the content has meant something to you or that it will mean something to you and perhaps change your life.

All I really want to do is tell others about Jesus. To help them to come to know Him or to seek His face and know Him better. And that is what I want for myself: to seek God's face and to know Him better and to be obedient to Him all the days of my life.

We try to do right and that doesn't always happen. We make mistakes. We do the wrong thing. We have past mistakes that we try not to remember. That we have asked forgiveness for and with God's amazing grace He has forgiven us.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness
toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He
removed our transgressions from us. Just as a father has compassion on his
children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.…
Psalm 103:11-13

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness
of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
Ephesians 1:7

We sin against God and against our fellow man. We repent and ask forgiveness and we turn from our wicked ways. That is the key. We turn away from those things we have done and we never do them again. We never think about them again. We know that God has thrown them away and we need to do the same. Sometimes it takes awhile. Sometimes it happens over night. But forget about them we must. Unforgiveness can tear us up inside. It can cause our prayers to not be answered. It can cause illness in our lives. And if God can forget so can we with His awesome help.

So, remember that God will forgive if and when we ask. And we need to do the same. And when we do, it clears our heart of the things that don't need to be there. God loves you!

If you have never asked Jesus into your heart, to be your Lord and Savior, don't wait another day. Do it now!

For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I
helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.
2 Corinthians 6:2

I hope this has helped you today.
