BETTER

Good morning! The last couple of days have been absolutely gorgeous. The autumn days are so pretty. I love the fall leaves and trees and the clear blue sky and sometimes the white puffy clouds. It almost looks like a perfectly clear painting. The air is cool and a slight breeze abounds which makes the leaves fall off the trees. How can it be better?

I don't particularly like the leaves everywhere, on my deck, on my front porch, covering the driveway, and in my carport, oh, and all over the grass. But that is beside the point!

I love it so much that I can say that God is good all the time and all the time God is good! And it is so true. He is good! But I always think when I hear that, that He is so much more than good. I have probably talked about this before, maybe even countless times. But it is so true!

"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever".  Psalm 107:1

"You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees".  Psalm 119:68

"The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made".  Psalm 145:9

"God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day".  Genesis 1:31

"How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you".  Psalm 31:19

"For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving".  1 Timothy 4:4

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows".  James 1:17

"Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, 'Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?' 'Why do you ask me about what is good?' Jesus replied. 'There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments'".  Matthew 19:16-17


I could go on and on! But then there are verses like these:

"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable".  Isaiah 40:28

"Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure".  Psalm 147:5

"For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and does not take a bribe".  Deuteronomy 10:17

"O God, You are awesome from Your sanctuary. The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God!"  Psalm 68:35 

And I could go on with these! The Bible, His Word, His truth are so full of awesome descriptions about how great our God is and what great things He has done.

I am so thankful that we have a God Who loves us so much and has done such great things for us, like given us the beauty of the earth around us to love, take care of, and enjoy!  

And I praise His Holy Name! 

No matter what you are going through, just praise Him and worship Him and appreciate all the wonderful things He has done for you and given you. And He will make things easier for you! When we put our focus on Him and not the junk in our lives, things will not only seem better but they will be better!

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help. Look to the LORD and his  strength; seek his face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11 The LORD is my strength and  my song; he has become my salvation.  He is my God, and I will praise him,  my father's God, and I will exalt him.
