Good morning to you!
Reading my devotion this morning and then doing a study of God's Word really brought some things to mind.

The study started out on John 3:16. But I moved on a few verses:

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”                                                                        John 3:16-21 NASB

So, we believe in Jesus and we ask Him to live in our heart. We now are saved, born again, washed by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus. We choose to follow the Light of the world, Jesus. After salvation we don't always follow the Light. We are born in the flesh as sinners and we are perishable. When we receive Christ as our Savior, we are not perfect but we are imperishable. We are not sinners anymore but we do sin. We have trials and temptations. And we do not always make the right choices in life. We do not always practice the truth (verse 21 above), Jesus. He is the truth.
Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.                                                                               John 14: 6 NASB

What I am trying to say is that we need to try harder to be obedient to God. Follow His Son! And try harder to be more like Him, Jesus! As I said we do have trials and temptations. We do make mistakes. But let's repent and try harder to be Christ-like.

"the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. "                                                  1 John 2:6 NASB


Paul is speaking: "Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ."      
                                                                         1 Corinthians 11:1 NASB

 So, all this to say, let us believe on Him, the Christ the Light, let us practice the truth, abide in Him, and be His imitators. I guarantee that you will feel so much better in every way. And all this is the most awesome way to live!

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid.
