OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW!

Hello! I can't believe that I haven't written on this blog since the end of August! Things have been way too busy these past few months, well, 4 months. Now that I think about it, it is really inexcusable. I have been stressed. I have been tired. I have been distracted and I have been overwhelmed!

I tend to be a little bit of a perfectionist, maybe more than a little bit. I just want everything to go just right. And I don't want to make mistakes. I want everything I do to be perfect. Well, life is not perfect. I am not perfect. Nothing is perfect. We make mistakes. We live through them. And as I get older I seem to get worse in these things. Life gets harder but God is the only One that can bring us through whatever things we are going through. Whatever mistakes we make. Whatever imperfections in our lives. HE is in control! HE is perfection! We don't have to be. HE is our Maker! HE is the author and perfecter of our faith!

...looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for
the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame,
and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2

Jesus is this and more. We must look unto the Son of God. We must look unto Him whence our help comes from. When we do it wrong. When we make stupid mistakes. When we wants things to go just right and they don't. There may be a reason things don't go just right. Just maybe we have to put our total trust in Jesus knowing that He will work it all out regardless of how we think things should be. His way is perfect. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,
saith Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my
ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9

So, at the end of 2016 and going into a New Year, 2017, we, mostly me, I am trying to trust and rely on Jesus, let Him be in control, let go of stress, and have some health issues resolved either by divine healing or help from the doctors.

Just maybe you feel the same way. Maybe you have things to resolve. And just maybe you don't know how to trust God. Well, a new year is a great time to work on whatever issues you might have. Read God's Word, pray, and seek the face of God! He is ready and waiting for you to give Him your heart! God loves you more than you can ever know!

Happy New Year!
