BY FAITH

Good morning!

And it is early. I drank decaf coffee in a restaurant last evening and here I am at 3:15 AM wide awake and have been for awhile. I am not sure what restaurants think decaf is but this has happened several times before. And now that I think of it, at the same restaurant more than once. Obviously, it is not 100% decaf, arabica maybe but not decaffeinated. Ugh!

I am so tired and can't sleep. I have prayed and prayed and sang songs of Jesus and His love and my eyes are wide open. Lord, help me! I am believing by faith that He will.

My computer is about to die. I forgot to charge it yesterday. So, when it does I will finish this in the morning.

At least I am yawning. That's a start, I guess. And later today, I have a very busy day. I guess I will have to take a nap. And I also know that with God's help, all will work out according to His awesome will.

1 John 5:14-15
This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.…

What an awesome promise! When I come before God in prayer, and when I say "Thy will be done" at the end or somewhere in that prayer, I know that He will hear me. And since I know that He hears me, then I can know that my request will be granted.

How wonderful that God does hear our prayers, and He does answer them. But it will be His way, His idea, His will, His plan not mine. That is the whole point of surrendering our lives to Jesus. We are supposed to give up ourselves and let Him lead our lives according to His plan or will, not ours.

It certainly doesn't mean that we lose ourselves. It means we gain a new life in Christ. We don't have to do everything on our own. We have a Best Friend, a Companion, a Savior and Lord! And He never leaves us or forsakes us. He is always with us. He is living inside of us.

We think that we carry Him everywhere. No, He carries us everywhere. We have someone to lean on. Someone to talk to. We are never alone. How awesome and wonderful us that! He loves us beyond comprehension.

I want to share this with you from gotquestions.org:

Man's highest aim should be to bring glory to God (1 Corinthians 10:31), and this includes praying according to His will. First, we must ask for wisdom. “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). In asking for wisdom, we must also trust that God is gracious and willing to answer our prayers: “But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt” (James 1:6; see also Mark 11:24). So, praying according to the will of God includes asking for wisdom (to know the will of God) and asking in faith.

So, all this is by faith. So, back to where I started. By faith I will fall asleep. By faith, my prayers will be answered. By faith, God's will will be done. And I am on 1% power. All about God and His Word is believed by faith. Praise God!

So, believe!

Have a blessed day,
