LIFE WITH HIM




Good morning to you!
Can't believe that February is coming to a close. The months seem to fly by! We have had snow, ice, sleet, freezing rain, and rain and fog in the last week. Maybe God is trying to tell us to slow down, stay home for a change, spend time with our family, spend time with Me (Him)!

What do you think? I do believe that it is altogether possible, maybe even probable. God doesn't think like we do. He has a plan for our lives, the lives of His people. And He wants us to have abundant lives.

John 10:10  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Jeremiah 29:11 
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 

I want abundant life. I want hope. I want the thief to leave my family and me alone. 

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.




How hard is it to totally submit ourselves to God? It is harder than we think, but then it is very simple. The idea is simple but actually doing it is a lot more difficult. We are human. We make mistakes. We try so hard to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Jesus. But sometimes we fall back into old habits.

Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
 
All we can do is call on Jesus and ask Him to lead, guide, and direct us on the right path. We need to stay in His Word, talk to Him all the time, hangout out with other Christians, go to church, and give our all for Him in service and in love. 

And I think that when we try our hardest, God will honor that. And He is a forgiving God, so He will forgive when we ask Him to.

And that is the best abundant live He can give us! Our best abundant life just might be in Heaven above!

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
