GOD IS AMAZING!
Hello on this fine day! GOD is AMAZING! Let me tell you about it.
My husband and I have been sick on and off since before Christmas. I guess all the activities and decorating that I do just wore me out. Our daughter and son-in-law flew in to spend Christmas with us. We couldn't do much with them. Daddy was in bed or sleeping most of the time. He had the flu. The sickness I had was a stomach virus or such.
We both spent Christmas Day alone sleeping. Our daughter and sil drove up to spend Christmas Day with our son and family. But through all this God never left us. And I praise His Holy Name!
It was definitely not the Christmas I would have expected at all. And it was the first time it has ever happened in 43 years of marriage. And I pray that it never happens again. And I praise God for His healing.
Also during all this time we took our car in for work on Dec. 11. It is January 3 and we do not have it back yet. And every time we call to check on it, we hear that the service manager will call us back. And he never does. All this to say that we are definitely disheartened. But I do know that God is with us.
I am so proud of my husband for not being angry and blowing up at the dealership. The worst part about it is that we are with only one truck, a two seater. But with us being so sick we haven't been able to go anywhere anyway. And on the days feeling good, and my husband going to work, I just stay home. At this point I do what I can in putting the Christmas decorations away, and taking a nap if I can.
We are still not today healed and have good days and not so good days. Why we are feeling this way for so long is beyond my comprehension, but I know God does. He is taking care of us every step of the way. When things do not go the way we want, we have a choice. We can complain and whine and be negative, or we can trust God to be with us and take care of us. And He will! He has! And I praise Him and want to shout from the rooftop! He is so good!
So, all this to say that no matter what we go through today, tomorrow, next week, month, or year, God will be with us and He will always take care of us. Then, we must thank Him and praise Him all through it and then after it. He is worthy, you know?
Deuteronomy 31:8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Isaiah 46:4
"Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you."
Isaiah 25:1
Lord, You are my God;
I will exalt You and praise Your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
You have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.
Psalm 9:1
I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds.
Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise Him.
Psalm 145:3-4
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.
4
One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
These scriptures tell of all the great and wonderful things that I have been talking about. Our God is a wonderful and awesome God. He cares for us. He loves us unconditionally. He never leaves us.
Even if you don't believe this, seek Him anyway. Read His Word starting with the Book of John in the New Testament. Pray to Him! He is a big God. You can tell Him anything. And if He is not our most amazing God ever, then go back to where you were. But I promise you your life will be changed , if you let it. If you won't let God change you then it is your life. But always remember how much He loves you!
God is amazing and I praise and lift up the Holy Name of Jesus, our Lord and our Savior.
I am praying for you today!
Have a blessed one,
Lesbear
