NO PEACE, KNOW JESUS!
Dear Readers,
The theme of the day, week, month seems to be fear. The fear of the unknown. The fear of sickness. The fear of people. The fear of running out of toilet paper, paper towels, Advil, and the like. Where have we come that we first of all, listen to the media?
The media wants to scare us. The media wants to tell lies before truth. The worst thing about it is that so many of us listen and believe it.
The truth, first of all, is in the Name of Jesus! There is power in the Name of Jesus. The truth is the Word of God! We should be listening to what God is trying to tell us not the media. And when all else fails read God's Word, right?
We should be talking to God first! Reading His Word first! Depending on Him and His truths first! But maybe we don't know Who God is. Reading the Bible, His Word will tell us Who He is.
The first book of His Word, Genesis, in the Old Testament, tells us that God is our Creator! He is our Lord God Almighty! He is Who He is--the Great I Am! The Book of John in the New Testament, tells us Who Jesus is. If you don't know Him as your personal Savior and Lord of all, then read the Book of John and the Book of Luke. The latter will tell you about Jesus birth and life.
If you know Jesus or not and are afraid or fearful, then, I have some scriptures for you.
This might help you! Look them up in your Bible, or online if you don't have a Bible:
I will share a few verses that stand out to me about fear, prayer, peace, and more:
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” ~ Joshua 1:9
“Tell everyone who is discouraged, Be strong and don’t be afraid! God is coming to your rescue…” ~ Isaiah 35:4
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”…He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you…For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways…“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him…” from Psalm 91:1-16
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise (James 5:13).
Philippians 4:6-7 says, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
5Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.… Proverbs 3:5-6
Romans 8:28--And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
So, here are scriptures about how we shouldn't be afraid, and worry, about prayer, trusting God, how God works things out, and His peace.
Let Jesus "rule your heart"!
Have an awesome day trusting in Jesus our Savior! If you don't know Him, today is the day of salvation! http://salvationprayer.info/home/ (click on this link if you want to know Jesus!)
