CHILDREN
Good morning to you!
God is good all the time and all the time God is good! And I praise His holy name!
In my home I have an arsenal of things. Like too many things. Like my children are going to go crazy and want to kill me when I am gone. Too many papers. Too much junk. Too many chachkies. (Yiddish word for trinkets and collectibles, AKA "dusk collectors" that you would find in an old lady's house.) Well, I am not that old yet, am I? I am closer than you think!
Anyway, in my papers, stacked, stuffed, and stored everywhere in my house, I found a paper this morning called: 101 Ways to Praise a Child. I have had it for years and don't know where I got it. But it is great. I am going to share it with you after I add some scripture about how God feels about children. Therefore we should feel the same way and treat them as God would treat them. It really saddens me to think of the way that some people treat kids. So, here goes:
Psalm 127:3-5
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver
with them!
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.Psalm 139:13-16
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.John 16:21
When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has
come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the
anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.
Matthew 18:1-3
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.Isaiah 54:13
All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.
3 John 1:4
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the
children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom
of God.
Believe it or not, there are more scriptures about children. So how important are the children around us? Very!
And so is a smile! :-)
And just so you know: I love my children and they are amazing! And that includes my daughter-in-law and my son-in-law!
