     I wanna go there! Oh yes, I guess I just was. Good morning! Well, we got out yesterday. My husband did get to go to work. When he got home from work he took me out to do some things I needed to do. There was a lot of snowy, icy spots. But if you drive slow and don't brake and don't turn your wheel quickly then you were fine. I am just glad that he took me out and I didn't have to drive myself. I am one who would brake at every ice spot and drive too slow. My husband says that when you slow down on the ice that sometimes you lose momentum and your wheels will spin and then you don't know what will happen or where you will go. I would rather have him chauffeur me around. That is more time to spend with him. I don't mind that at all. It is like a little getaway. How can I spend more time with Jesus? Meditate, go to church, pray, read the bible, be good to others and yourself. Now what more can we do? Before we get into spending more time with Jesus, w...

Good morning on this beautiful, frosty day! It was -2* when I got up this morning. Mind you this is in the south. If you want to see what is going on and what has gone on, if you don't know, check out the Weather Channel at 214 on DishNet. My husband finally got out the morning. The main roads are fine and the others roads are not so fine as of yet. There is still snow and ice on our roads here. It is supposed to get up to 40 today so maybe the snow and ice will melt some or all would be great. Our power went out this morning for about an hour. My husband was out cutting kindling and such to start a fire in the wood stove if it stayed out but it came back on in about an hour. Praise God! Does your power go out, I mean spiritually? How do you keep the power of God on in your life? Well, first of all you have to turn the power on by asking Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of your life. This morning as the sun  came over the mountains. Good morning to you! I pray you are well and that if you live near us you are warm and safe. When I got up this morning it was -2* and very slippery but the sun is shining and it is very beautiful with about an 1 1/2 inches of snow. With it being that cold there is a solid sheet of ice under the snow. I am sure of it.   When we lived in Northern California, and our son was about a year old, my husband had an hour drive to work in Reno, NV, when the weather was good. He left at 3 am to go to work because there was snow on the ground. (I may have mentioned this before.) In the winter our family business was closed so he got a job elsewhere for several months. Anyway, on his way to work, he hit the brakes in order to miss something in the road, and lost control and rolled and landed down an embankment in the field. I am using my husband's computer since I left my charging cord at my daughter's in Florida. What a ditz I am! Anyway, I tried to do some important work on a document I am working on and what a chore. This computer is a Windows 8 computer. I think that this is the worst OS that was ever invented. I do not like it at all. For one thing I am working on my document, of which I have a deadline, and all I can do is fix it and then every time I go to put my touch on it, like change the font in a text box and the whole document changes to that font. Or I want to make some things centered instead of left margin and the whole document changes to centered. Oh I wanted to throw the computer out the window. So, now I don't know what to do to fix it. It just made me sick. And very out of my comfort zone!   S...

Good morning to you on this fine Monday! May God bless you, keep you, make His face shine upon you and give you peace.  Today is great but it is getting cool again and I have sort of gotten used to the South Florida weather. I had an awesome time but my bed was so nice last night. I got in late last night. The plane was delayed again but only a little over half an hour as compared to four hours late when I left last week. Oh Lord help Allegiant Air or they are going to go out. If they want to be an inexpensive airline, that is great. But at least find a way to service the customers as they should be served.  I brought everything home except my computer charger, UGH! and my camera case. I charged my computer before I left so that I could use it on the flight but then I couldn't easily lean down to grab my backpack without putting my head in my neighbors lap. So, I didn't use it and I left the cord plugged in under the desk at my daughter's. Ugh some more!...

Good morning! Lord bless this Sabbath Day! May we feel God's presence and love in serving Him and worshiping Him in His sanctuary.  I have to be honest with you. I didn't go to church today and I feel so guilty. I always go to church whenever the doors are open. I am out of state. I don't have a car. And I slept really late which I never do. I went to bed early and slept late. That is really out of character for me but I am out of my comfort zone so I guess that is par for the course.  My daughter wants me to go to the beach and I have already had my shower. I need to be at the airport in 3 1/2 hours in order to leave for home. Maybe I am kind of nervous about being there on time. Lord, forgive me! I have been kind of keyed up this morning and anxious, I guess. I always get that way when I am leaving on a trip. I like it better when everything is ready the night before and we get up and leave in the morning. I guess it is the waiting that makes me anxious....

Good morning! How are you doing this morning? I am great. I picked up my daughter and son-in-law from the airport at 10:15 last night. What a zoo! I had to drive around the loop back to arrivals several times by the time they came out. People drive too fast and cut you off and pull in front of you and such. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if I hadn't been driving someone else's car in a place that was crazy busy. But I am so glad they are home. They loved San Francisco. They didn't rent a car so had to take public transportation and on foot. They said that they walked their feet off. But it was a successful trip. Praise God! I can't wait to see the pictures. Everything went without a hitch. That's a God moment! Nothing usually goes as planned unless God is in it. Now that certainly doesn't go that way all the time but God is so good and promises us an abundant life. But that is spiritually not necessarily physically. But He can and will do...

  Good morning! How are you today? I woke up to the sound of a car alarm going off. It went off for about 20-30 minutes. I don't know whose car it was but that is not the first time. On Wed. morning at 3:30 AM it happened the first time. Ugh! I don't know if the owner sleeps through it or what but that is city living. Not me but my daughter. They can sleep through anything. But not me. I sleep pretty light although I do sleep deeper than I used to. Praise the Lord for that! Today will be my last beach day. My time is getting short here. I praise the Lord for the 70* today. At home is is 7*. But next week at home it will be very cold again. Then I will wish I was back here in So. Florida. I have enjoyed it so much. Just getting away from my regular routine. Although a routine is soothing also. You don't have to think as much. You just do what you always do. The beach has been a great blessing though. Good morning from sunny southern Florida! Praise God from Whom all blessings flow! Spent a little time yesterday at the beach picking up shells. It is amazing how many more shells are on the beach in the winter. In the summer they have mostly been picked up and all that is left is small or broken shells. I love to collect shells and I got quite a few fairly large clam shells. I mean 2 1/2-3 inch shells as compared to 1 inch or less. It started raining when I left to drive to the beach and when I got there it was raining pretty hard. So, I sat in the car and read until it stopped. When I started walking to the beach the few people there were leaving because of the rain. When I hit the sand there were about 10 people there. So, I walked and walked. It was so great and beautiful. It was partly cloudy and windy and I didn't touch the water as I am sure it was cold. I will check that out today.  You know God's creation is so gorgeous. Good morning to you from South Florida! I thank my God always concerning you for the grace  of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 1 Corinthians 1:4   There is a chance of rain today. But not that much, so I plan to go to the beach at least for a little while. I do know that you can still get sun even when it is cloudy, sometimes even more sun. I will give it a try. Also when God created the earth, He made it that way when the sun is farther away in the winter and closer in the summer. Amazing how God made these things as well as the tides and waves and ocean and the sea creatures. Everything works so perfectly in His creation. Only the God of the universe could have created these things in six days and spoke them into being.    I know that everything on earth isn't perfect but it was created that way. Good morning! Hello! I was sitting in an airport and our flight was delayed for four hours last night. I prayed in the name of Jesus that it would not be delayed more than that. I was so tired and my husband called and said to go to sleep. I have never been one who could go to sleep sitting straight up. I had a book to read but I was too keyed up. The flight before I got here was cancelled because the pilot was in the air too many hours. I don't understand that because they know the schedule ahead of time so they should know how many hours a pilot has been in the air and they should have someone ready to take over. Ugh!! Oh well! I must depend on Jesus to get me through this. The lady waiting next to me said it happened to her before and she had to sit in the airport until the next day. Oh, Lord help us! If they keep saying delayed they don't have to put you up in a hotel. If they cancel a flight they do. Maybe! Well, we will see what the Lord is doing. And He ...

Good morning on this great day that the Lord has made! Below is the next two things we can do to get ready for Jesus's return. To read the first two thoughts, go to yesterday's blog. 3. FAITHFULNESS (Matthew 25:14-23) It is in view of our Lord's coming that He relates the story of a man going into a far country and giving various talents to his servants. Talents, in this case, means money. So, depending on the wise use of these talents, whether invested and producing more talents, or whether neglected, these servants are rewarded. For instance, we read of the servant who 'hid his lord's money' instead of investing it who is severely punished. To him our Lord says: "Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury." Good morning! What a day yesterday! Just very busy. How about you? There is just so much to do when you are going out of town. Sometimes it takes weeks to get ready. Of course, I am one who packs and starts preparing sometimes a month in advance. Some call me crazy. I guess I remember some of my Girl Scout upbringing about being prepared. Maybe I am just OCD! I don't care what else I am prepared for but I am prepared to meet my God.
