BE READY
Good morning!
What a day yesterday! Just very busy. How about you? There is just so much to do when you are going out of town. Sometimes it takes weeks to get ready. Of course, I am one who packs and starts preparing sometimes a month in advance. Some call me crazy. I guess I remember some of my Girl Scout upbringing about being prepared. Maybe I am just OCD!
I don't care what else I am prepared for but I am prepared to meet my God. Are you?
Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of
Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Matthew 24:44
Watch therefore, for you know
neither the day nor the hour.
Matthew 25:13
And now, little children, abide in him; that,
when he shall appear,
we may have confidence,
and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
1 John 2:28
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the
last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and
the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed.
and we shall be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:52
How do you get ready for Jesus coming back?
I found some writings by Ray Brubaker that give us an idea of what to do to be ready. There are ten ways or thoughts. I will list his introduction and two thoughts.
"Our Lord's Return is much closer than we realize.
And we should do all we can to warn the world of what
lies ahead and to urge readiness for that all-glorious
event of His Second Coming.
In view of Christ's Return there are at least ten
admonitions we'd like to leave with you today. Listen
carefully.
1. WATCHFULNESS (Matt 24:40-41)
Matthew reminds us - "Two shall be in the field; the one taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. WATCH therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." The word 'watch' means to be alert, be on your guard, and be found ready for Christ's coming.

2. PRAYERFULNESS (Luke 21:36)
Luke tells us: "Watch ye, therefore, and PRAY always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." Do you pray that you will be ready when Christ appears? "

Well, are you ready to get ready? Maybe you are doing all these things. If not, it's time. I believe the scriptures above. And I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus is coming soon.
I will share two more thoughts of Ray Brubaker's tomorrow.
Bye bye,
