OUR NEEDS

This morning as the sun
came over the mountains.

Good morning to you!

I pray you are well and that if you live near us you are warm and safe. When I got up this morning it was -2* and very slippery but the sun is shining and it is very beautiful with about an 1 1/2 inches of snow. With it being that cold there is a solid sheet of ice under the snow. I am sure of it.

When we lived in Northern California, and our son was about a year old, my husband had an hour drive to work in Reno, NV, when the weather was good. He left at 3 am to go to work because there was snow on the ground. (I may have mentioned this before.) In the winter our family business was closed so he got a job elsewhere for several months. Anyway, on his way to work, he hit the brakes in order to miss something in the road, and lost control and rolled and landed down an embankment in the field. Praise God he has always worn his seat belt and lived. But if he hadn't worn it and without God's grace he wouldn't be here today.

What I am saying is when the weather or the roads are bad, is it really that important that we have to go somewhere? I guarantee our lives are more important than going wherever we think we have to go. We certainly can dig deep and find something to eat.

Since I was gone last week my husband never went to the store and I never got to the store after I got home. So, mother hubbard's cupboards are bare but do you know what, we can find plenty to eat. I made homemade bread yesterday and my husband made vegetable soup with what vegetables we had and we ate great. Praise God!

God always provides whatever we need, whether it is safety or food or whatever the need is in our lives. And I praise His holy name for that!

And my God will meet all your needs according
to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’

or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For
the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your
heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
Matthew 6:31-32

So, trust the Lord in all things and let Him work in your life. He loves you so much and He will do it.

Have an awesome day!
