IN SPIRIT
Good morning to you on this great Monday!
I pray that you had a great weekend and that you have worshiped the Lord every day in Spirit and in truth, especially yesterday with your church family.
We have a special friend who is a missionary and he was with us this weekend and spoke at our church yesterday morning and at our home church last night. Wow, it was powerful! Sometimes we think that God is not doing anything because we don't know about it or can't see it. But He is doing awesome things all over the world. We seem to be a little more immune in the United States to what is going on, to what God is doing. I think we take Him for granted a little bit. I mean, do we really thank Him and praise Him for every little thing that He does? I think not. We should and we try but life gets in the way.
Having been in another country on a mission trip before, I saw how hungry the people are for Jesus. How uninhibited the people are. When they worship, they really worship. We hold back. What are people going to think of us if we raise our hands, or say amen, or whatever? Our minds tend to be on so many other things in our worship time instead of on Jesus.
If we would truly put all the things we have to do and the troubles in our lives out of our mind and truly worship with our only thought on Jesus, how much more awesome would our worship services be to us. And they probably would not be very quiet. And we wouldn't even know it because our heart and thoughts would be so focused on the Lord Jesus we wouldn't even hear the amen's and yes's and preach it brother's. Our eyes might even be closed in hearing the Word of the Lord. And in our music we might even be on our feet, maybe even dancing in the aisles. If we would only practice in our worship, so that we would know how to do it in heaven when we worship the King Jesus.
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with
gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of
his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with
praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good
and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all
generations.
Psalm 100:1-5
Oh Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! He has done great things! Praise His Holy Name!
Have a blessed day!
Love,
Lesbear
