STORMS

I took this after the storm on Monday
around sunset. I stopped in the middle
of the road and click-click!

Good morning to you!

The storms were pretty bad here last night but they could have been worse. I am sure it was in someone else's neighborhood. There was a tornado warning here. We were 35 minutes away at church but so glad that God protected us and our home and community. Lots of leaves and small branches around but not too bad.

In the afternoon the power kept clicking off about 10 times. I guess those might have been power surges. I don't like that because that is when you can burn up something: tv, computer, air conditioner, etc.

The power went out about 4 am this morning and didn't come back on until around 8 am. When my husband left for work their was a tree fallen on a power line and pulled down on the road. Our neighbor was standing in the road with a flashlight and warned him of the downed lines. This was before 6 am. Don't know if this is what took our power out or not since the power to us comes from the other direction. Only God knows!

The storms of life can get pretty bad. But God knows our hearts and our lives completely. Even more than we do. Take comfort in His Word!

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6

He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
Psalm 107:29

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.
Psalm 34:17-20

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
Nahum 1:7

Clothe yourselves in God's Word and let Him bring you through the storm!

Have a great day!
