Good morning on this fine and beautiful day!

Yesterday was a pretty day and I look forward to another one. It has cooled down 10 degrees. A little more fall like. Praise the Lord!

I am working on a lesson for our kid's time tonight. My husband and I feed the neighborhood kids with a lesson and food every Wed. night before service. Sometimes we have 2 kids and sometimes we have 12. But we love it and we will not give it up unless God tells us to quit or do something else.

I am listing 3 acronyms which are not just for our kids tonight.

APE-Always Pray Everyday

ASAP-Always Say A Prayer

PUSH-Pray Until Something Happens

These are not just for the kids. They should mean something for all of us as they are scriptural.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.…

Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Mark 11:24 - Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].

Ephesians 6:18 - Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

James 5:16 - Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

"Quite simply, for followers of Jesus Christ prayer is the best way to communicate with God. Prayer is the vehicle for daily dialog with the One who created us. The importance of daily communication through prayer cannot be overestimated. It is so important that it is mentioned over 250 times in Scripture. So why is daily prayer so important? First, daily prayer gives us an opportunity to share all aspects of our lives with God. Second, daily prayer gives us the chance to express our gratitude for the things He provides. Third, daily prayer provides the platform for confessing our sin and asking for help in overcoming that sin. Fourth, daily prayer is an act of worship and obedience. And finally, daily prayer is a way to acknowledge who is really in control of our lives." from gotquestions.org

"The way to get real-life results in prayer is to seek God with an attitude that says, “No matter how long it takes, or whatever I have to do, I will not be denied.” This is not arrogance, it’s Godly hunger. It is not about pushing God, but about pushing yourself into God. This is not praying for the sake of praying. This is praying to see the hand of God move. This is desperate hungry praying. This is the type of prayer that gets answers." from hopefaithprayer.com

Prayer like this takes faith and persistence.

John 15:7
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, (you shall) ask whatever you will, and it will be done for you.”

So, don't give up praying. And it will be done for you!

Have a blessed day!
