HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Good morning on this blessed day!

I miss my mother so much. As we celebrate Mother's Day, as a mother I know how much a mother means to a child. A mom is the one who gives the most physical care for a child most of the time. Not in all cases but probably the most. Proverbs 31 says:

A wife of noble character who can find?
    She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
    and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
    all the days of her life.
Proverbs 31:10-12

Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
    and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Proverbs 31:28-31

A mother not only takes care of and loves her children but her husband also. My mother was loving and kind, silly and crazy, and had a zest for life. After she had her first stroke, that changed. She didn't want to live like that I believe. She couldn't talk well or walk. And she wouldn't do what the physical therapist wanted her to do. She just sort of gave up. But I think she just couldn't do it or didn't want to do it anymore.

And I didn't want to see her like that either but I took time off of work and went to be with her for 6 weeks. I wish there was something that could have been done. But that was not to happen.

But to this day I miss her so much. I know that she would have loved seeing her grandchildren fully grown and as well as her great grandchildren. They would have loved her and she would have been ecstatic about them. She loved to be silly just like the kids.

So, on this wonderful Mother's Day spend quality time with your mother, children or grandchildren or all of them and remember how precious they all are in God's eye and yours.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
