FAMILY

Good morning!

I was so proud to be able to see my grandchildren and son and daughter-in-law yesterday. I went up on Thurs. and stayed over and came home yesterday. I don't get to do it very often. They are so precious. It is always a blessing to me to spend time with them. To touch them and hug them and kiss them. That is like heaven for me. I hadn't seen my new grandbaby since he was born two months ago. He is just as sweet as ever just like all of them.

This may be a small thing to some of you but for me it is huge and so special. It just goes to show you that God is in the big things and in the small things. When you live a couple of hours or more from your family you don't get to see them very often. Life is so busy for everyone. That is the sign of the times for us all, I guess.

I did get to see my oldest grandson hit a homerun and catch a fly ball in t-ball. In the rain to top it off. Yes, they played in the rain. One of the games was a replay because of the rain and it wasn't too bad except the field was red clay dirt and nasty. 

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which

 a man took and planted in his field.  Though it is the 

smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the 

largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that 

the birds of the air come and perch in its branches. 

Matthew 13:31-32

If the smallest of seeds is like the kingdom of heaven then little things are so important. To some who have their family close by, spending time with them is part of their daily lives. Those whose family is far away it is a great big thing to spend time with them. Either way, family is so important. We need not forget that. And that includes the family of God. 

So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and

 foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God's 

holy people. You are members of God's family.

Ephesians 2:19

So, when our family isn't close to us, we have God's family to love and be with. How awesome is that?
