WITNESS

Good morning on this fine day!

The Lord is great. The Lord is good. He is mighty in power!

Hope you had a great day yesterday on Election Day and you went out to vote. You may think that your one vote doesn't count. Oh but it does. Every one counts.

I work at one of the polls and it is a privilege to vote. It seems as though sometimes that those who complain the most don't even vote. Well, if you don't vote there is no room to complain. So, I hope that you vote.

I praise the Lord that all the people that I work with are Christians. It really makes it better for us when we are with people who are like-minded. We are to go to the non-Christians and witness but we should not actually hang out with them. It can certainly sway us in the wrong direction and I personally do not want to go there. But we are to love them, pray for them, treat them as we want to be treated, and tell them about what Jesus has done for us. But we don't want to condemn them because they don't know Jesus. Scaring or trying to force people to accept Christ is not right. Because there usually is no love there.

Here are some reasons that Jesus wants you to witness. They are from CRU. This is Campus Crusade for Christ. That was sort of my church when I was in high school. It was my youth group since we didn't go to church and it was at my school and I praise God for them.

1. As you witness, you bring glory to God. Jesus says in John 15:8, "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."

2. The love of Christ compels us to share our faith. In Paul's words, "The love of Christ constrains us." (or compels us) 2 Cor. 5:14. If you have experienced the love of the Lord Jesus, you will also want to introduce him to others.

3. Sharing your faith is a direct command from Jesus Christ. He says, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Matt. 4:19. And, "You did not choose me, but I chose you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last." John 15:16.

4. People without Christ are lost. Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6. The Word of God declares emphatically, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12.

I will finish this tomorrow. But remember that God doesn't call the equipped but He equips the called. From Hebrews 13:21.

Have a terrific day!
