GIVE TO GOD 2

 

Good morning! 

I will get straight into this message from Mary Fairchild. I do believe it is important to know what tithing is all about. We may already know but it doesn't hurt to refresh our memories. God's work cannot be done without giving.

 

"We are blessed when we give."

  • Acts 20:35
... remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'
"God wants us to give because he knows how blessed we will be as we give generously to him and to others. Giving is a kingdom principle—it brings more blessing to the giver than to the recipient.

 

When we give freely to God, we receive freely from God."

  • Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
  • Proverbs 11:24
One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
"God promises that we will be blessed over and above what we give and also according to the measure that we use to give. But, if we hold back from giving with a stingy heart, we hinder God from blessing our lives."

 I love this. I hope you learn a little bit from it, too. God is great and awesome all the time and I don't want to rob Him of what is due Him. Again because I love Him and because He is worthy!

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
