KNOW JESUS


Good morning to you on this fine day!
My husband told me this morning that we are going to have some more cool days coming up. Amazing for the end of July and early August! Praise God!

I just spent a couple of days with my son, daughter-in-law, and 3 grandsons. What a blessing! To me that is like heaven. The short time I spend with my children and their families is so precious to me. It is never long enough but I will take all that I can get.

Now it is time to get serious about VBS. Ours starts on Sunday night and goes through Wednesday. The last hurrah before school starts. And school starts so early this year. It seems to get earlier and earlier every year. Please pray with me that we have the biggest VBS ever and that many will ask Jesus into their hearts. 

We all need Jesus! He is our Lord, Savior and best friend! And we need to know Him intimately. How can we be Christ-like in our lives if we don't know Him that well? And how do we get to know Him that well? We read and study the Word of God daily. We talk to Him without ceasing. We attend church with Jesus as the focus of the sermons. We fellowship with other believers. As time goes on we will know Him better and better and people will see Jesus in us. How awesome is that!

John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 

Philippians 3:10 - I want to know Christ--yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

John 17:3 -
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Give your life to Jesus and know Him as He wants you to. You will be glad that you did!

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
