HAVE FAITH



Good morning!
"You have to have faith!" We are watching a movie called Apple Mortgage Cake on the Uplifting Channel. It is starting out kind of a downer but I know that it will end up good. That is what we need more of, is faith. I know that it is just a movie but it has a great message.

How do we get more faith when we can't pay our bills? Or when we don't have money to put gas in the car to get to work? Or when we don't have a job and can't find one? Or when we pray for help and it seems there is no answer? 

1 Peter 1:21: Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

2 Corinthians 5:7: We live by faith, not by sight.

Matthew 17:20: He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. "
 
Oh, my! God always answers our prayers but it may seem as though He isn't when the answer isn't what we want, but life is not about what we want. It is about what God wants. He may not want us to have what we want because He knows the big picture and knows we should not have what we want. He may say no. He may say not now. He may have something better for us. 

We should have faith first knowing that Jesus is the answer to every one of our prayers. He will provide. He will guide. His will be done. That is actually the answer to our prayers but it is also the question with our prayers.

Mark 11:24: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

1 John 5:14-15: And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

John 15:7: If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Matthew 7:7: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Romans 14:17-18: For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.

Have faith in God! He has faith in you!

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
