AWESOME GOD

Good morning to you!
Blessings to you and to your families. God is an awesome God! May He fill you with His mercy and grace because those are gifts He gives us. And then we can be merciful and grace-filled to others. Remember we need to love our neighbors as ourselves and in doing that we need these attributes in our lives also.

"Mercy and grace are often confused. While the terms have similar meanings, grace and mercy are not the same. To summarize the difference: mercy is God not punishing us as our sins deserve, and grace is God blessing us despite the fact that we do not deserve it. Mercy is deliverance from judgment. Grace is extending kindness to the unworthy." (gotquestions.org)

That is a great explanation of those two words. And so we should also extend those to others. Sometimes it is very hard for us to do it, therefore we don't. Shame on us. Look what Jesus did for us on the cross, and we can't even give mercy and grace to others. Now I know we can. But do we? Always?

I hope that we do. God is so good to us. We need to extend that goodness to others all the time. And maybe you do. I like to think that I do also. But the Bible say:

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 
Romans 3:23

Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.
Ecclesiastes 7:20

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8

even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
Ephesians 2:5
 
and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Romans 3:24

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
John 10:10

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16
So, all these verses tell us that God loves us and made a way for us to know Him and gave us His mercy and grace.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
