TRUST

Good morning to you!

This is a beautiful, bright sunshiny day. I love those days. And yesterday was warmer than they forecasted. It just warmed me to the bone. So nice for a change. I believe that spring is finally here!

I have been thinking through one of my Bible studies a lot about our trust and hope in God. We all have fears deep down in us, sometimes that we don't even realize. Does that mean that we don't really trust God? I suppose that it means that we need to give that fear to God and trust in Him. But I do know that sometimes it is easier said than done. We might give it to God and then be good for a while and then we seem to take it back from Him and are fearful again. Fear is not of God.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of
power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I
am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let
your requests be made known to God. And the peace
of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
Psalm 56:3

So, when we are afraid do we put our trust in God? Do we get anxious or fearful about stuff? Do we worry? Well, I was taught that those things are sin. And of, course, we know that we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. It is what we do about it that counts. Do we ask God to forgive us and try to not do these things?

When we are fearful or anxious or worried, we should go to God in prayer and supplication (humble petition to God) with thanksgiving making those requests and the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Sounds easy but with God's help we can do it. And with His help we will not take it back. We will let Him keep it and deal with it in His perfect way.

Needless to say we need to trust Him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not
on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge
Him, And He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Give it to God and trust in Him.

Have an awesome day!
