BELIEVE IT OR NOT

Beach on our way to Key West in 2012

Good morning!

How are you on this blessed Monday? I pray that you were also blessed yesterday. The sermon at our church was about how Thomas doubted that Jesus was alive and had to see Him and see His nail scarred hands in order to believe. And "Jesus said to him,

Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed
are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
John 20:29

Have you not believed because you have not seen? Do you need proof that Jesus is alive? Do you not believe in Jesus because you have not seen Him? That is where faith comes in.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

So, we must believe without seeing. What an attribute that is! And I do. I believe exactly what the Bible says, literally. I wish we all believed like that. It would make the whole world a better place.

Now I know that you believe that a salt shaker has salt in it. Did you see someone put the salt in there? Did you see the salt being made by the manufacturer? And yet you believe that it is salt in the salt shaker. That could be said about just about everything you eat, drink, and use. And yet we believe it. So, how come so many don't believe that what the Bible says is true.

Well, I do believe. And I know a lot of people who do believe. And God knows everyone's hearts. Believers and non-believers. And He knows who is going to believe or not. But regardless of faith and belief, God loves everyone unconditionally no matter what they believe. And only He can turn their hearts towards Him.

I pray that for you and for everyone, that they might believe.

Have a wonderful day!
