GOD SUPPLIES
Good morning to you!
I pray you are blessed. Actually I know you are! We are all so blessed in so many ways. I hope that you can try to count them. You may never finish but at least start. I am!
I woke up in a dream this morning. And God was telling me to write this blog about it. But it may take me a moment to remember exactly what it was. I have already forgotten. Oh, it starts out with this.
But my God shall supply all your need according
to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
Do not be like them, for your Father knows
what you need before you ask him.
Matthew 6:8
Do not be like them, for your Father knows
what you need before you ask him.
Matthew 6:8
What do you need? One thing we need is groceries. We all need to eat. Have you noticed the prices of food lately? I am sure you have. It is really crazy but it is what it is. We need it, so we buy it. But in order to buy what we need sometimes we have to give up something that we don't need. We might need to be more careful in what we buy. Sometimes other brands might be less so we compromise where we can.
We need to eat. Well, how much do we go out to eat? Maybe we need to start cooking and quit going out to eat. Sometimes we need to do what we need to do. Instead of going out to eat five times a week, we might only go out once a week. You will find that it makes that meal special when you do get to go out.
My husband and I don't go out to eat but maybe once every other week. And as much as cooking is not really my thing, that is okay. That is what I need to do, so I do it. And I get some help from my husband sometimes. He used to help a lot more but I am the one not working now.
Now there was a time when we went out to eat almost every night. That was when we were young. But just think of how much money we would have saved if we didn't do that. Of course, we probably would have spent it on something else.
So, what I am getting at is that God does supply all our need. He doesn't supply the money to go out to eat. I mean He does but not all the time. We are taking the money to eat out from something else more pressing. How many times has there been more days in the month than money? He will supply us food to eat, but I believe that more means to fix at home.
We are to be good stewards of our money, and since God is supplying it, we need to use it wisely.
I am not saying don't go out to eat. But times are getting tougher and it costs a lot more to go out to eat than it does to eat at home. So, in order to stay in more we have to think ahead. Crock pots are always good if you work all day.
But the main thing I am trying to say is, God will supply our needs not our wants. We have to trust God on what He says. That is where faith comes in. Even in the food we eat.
So, trust God to supply your needs, and doing our part we will be good stewards of what God supplies us with. And these are blessings to us! Praise God!
Have a blessed day!
