WHAT NEXT?

Good morning on this blessed day that the Lord has made!
Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

We have been talking about "Then What" after you ask Jesus into your heart. So, then what else? After we are saved, we make Jesus our first love and the Holy Bible our favorite book, Jesus's last will and testament, so to speak. We must stand on God's promises.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

We may not have an awesome feeling after salvation. I mean some of us have a mountain top experience and some of us don't. And that is okay. It is a choice we make with our heart and our lives. We may have a mighty fireworks or mountain top feeling or experience after we ask Jesus into our heart. How awesome that would be! We are just as saved either way.

So, let's move on to what we also do when we start studying God's Word and seeking His will. I feel like these things are a part of His will. There are two more things that we must do every day for spiritual growth.

Pray without ceasing.
1 Thessalonians 5:13

Prayer is talking to God. It is simply expressing your heart and spending time with Him. It is not a one way activity, God speaks, we listen, we speak and God listens to our hearts. Prayer can be exciting, powerful and fulfilling.

Then, we must be a witness for God in our words but also in our actions.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20

Another thing to do that is very important is to get baptized. It is in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of your salvation. And then unite with a Bible-believing church without delay.

So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or
ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering
for the gospel, by the power of God,
2 Timothy 1:8

“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.
Matthew 10:32

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:24-25

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching
and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing
psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with
thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Colossians 3:16

Well, this is a great start on finding God's will and how to live a Christian life from here on out.

I will continue to write this blog as long as God calls me to it. It is His blog. And in the process we all will learn a lot about how much God loves us and helps us to live for Him.  I pray that we all do these things in obedience to God, as best we can, with God's help. And with God's help we can do our best.

Have a blessed day.

Les
