SALVATION
Good morning!
How are you today? All is well here except I woke up at 1am and couldn't go back to sleep. So, I left the bed and went in on the couch and read for a long while. I finally was able to go to sleep. Ugh!
My Dad, Step-Mom, and I had a great trip home from North Carolina yesterday. It misted a lot but never poured rain. Thank God! This morning they are leaving for home in Arkansas. They usually take two days to travel. Please pray for them as they travel home.
Have you ever wondered why you dream what you do or why you read stories like you do. For instance, I am reading the fourth book in Karen Kingsbury's Redemption series. The part about one of the characters three year old daughter drowning but still alive in a coma is really getting to me. Then I read in my Upper Room devotion for Saturday (read it today) that the writer lost her three year old daughter through a drowning. I think sometimes those things might be coincidence but then again maybe God is telling me something or maybe it is just my imagination running amuck. But I can't think about such things because it scares me a bit. But to read both of those same things within a few hours of each other is kind of weird. I think that the evil one puts weird thought in our minds also.
But now is the time to trust in Jesus and put my fears behind me and forget about those thoughts of something happening to me. Because if it is my time to go, then it is. Absent from the body, present with the Lord so 2 Corinthians 5:8 says:
We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
The scripture may not specifically be talking about the same thing as I am, but if it is my time to go, then I will live with Jesus forever. How could I want anything but that? And I am ready.
Are you ready to meet your maker? Have you given your heart and soul, your whole being, to Jesus? If you haven't done that, then today is the day of salvation.
For he says,
“At an acceptable time I have listened to you,
and on a day of salvation I have helped you.”
and on a day of salvation I have helped you.”
See, now is the acceptable time; see, now is the day of salvation!
2 Corinthians 6:2
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6
I am being very honest with you. If you don't believe this, I would be very concerned about where my eternity lies. I want everyone to go to Heaven and live for eternity with Jesus. But I am also realistic in that it is not going to happen. But I want you to be there with me worshiping Jesus for eternity.
So, think about it. Study it. Read about it. And do something about it. You either believe in Jesus and His salvation or you don't. There is no in between.
"Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13
Romans 10:13
Your salvation experience is the beginning of your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The steps to salvation are as easy as "A.B.C."
A. Admit that you are a sinner
in need of God.
in need of God.
B. Believe that Jesus Christ died and
rose again for your sins.
rose again for your sins.
C. Confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord of your life.
Lord of your life.
Say the following prayer to confess Jesus as Lord:
Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and I need You. Please forgive me of my
sins. I believe Jesus died and rose again for my sins. I confess Jesus
Christ as Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me and giving
me abundant life here on earth and eternal life with You in heaven. In
Jesus' name, Amen.
I will give you some scriptures tomorrow to help you after you accept Jesus.
I know that this was kind of long today but I thought it was very important.
Have a wonderful day!
Les
