SLOW DOWN

Good morning to you!

Can't say it looked like this picture here yesterday but it was close. Ha! About 11 am yesterday it started snowing and in about 20 minutes there was close to 1/2 inch. It was really pretty. It stayed for an hour or two and then it warmed up to 38* or so and melted away. Boy, was it coming down though.

We had visitors coming from another state and they drove for 7 hours in it and when they got here they were worn out and very stressed. They stopped counting at 15 accidents and they were all within a couple hours of here. People just drive too fast on the slick roads. Just a piece of advice from little old me: either don't drive in it or go at a snails pace. Let everyone else go around you. You stay safe!

Isn't that just how it is with life: we go too fast, have too much to do. We don't take the time to smell the roses. If you haven't heard that statement, then you have now. Take time to smell the roses!

And here are the roses. I wish that you could smell them. I know they smell so awesome! I tried to use a picture that I took but the file was too large. I love taking pictures of flowers.

Anyway, we need to slow down and count our blessings and make precious memories of the days of our lives. Take the time to spend with Jesus. He is your best friend you know. Make memories of the time in His presence. Take time to date your husband or wife, even if you just go to the park and swing together or go for a walk. Take time with your kids and grand kids, and play games or watch a movie together or bake together. It doesn't have to cost money to make fun and precious memories. Disney World is fun but cost a fortune. The park is fun and doesn't cost a dime. Laugh together with a friend. Fix a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or whatever and invite a friend over to watch a movie. Like I said make memories that last a lifetime.

God is great all the time and He is our first love if you know Him as your Lord and Savior. Give Him time and give your loved ones time. Don't stay so busy that you lose sight of what is important in life.

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of
your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
Psalm 59:16

...in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:6

"I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you;
I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
Genesis 12:2

So, take time to make memories. Slow down. Make each day count. You can do it!

Have an awesome day!

Love in Christ,
Les  (lesbear)
