SEEK HIM FIRST

Good morning!

Are we still rejoicing in the Lord? Keep it up! Don't stop! It is pleasing to the Lord.

You know, some of the things that God wants me to talk about are much more involved than I have time to write or you have time to read. Most of the subjects I talk about I could go on for pages and pages. God's Word is so full of, well God. And we have to study His Word on our own. I guess I am only able to get you thinking about things so you can study on your own. This blog has really got me thinking about different things in His Word. God is speaking to all of us in this blog including me. I do feel like I am leaving a lot out and if this Christian walk is new to you then you are not hearing the whole story.

What you need to do is study God's Word as I said, go to church, get involved in Sunday School, and Bible Study, all in a Bible-based church. We need to do whatever it takes in order to learn more about God and His ways.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither
are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.
Isaiah 55:8

Our ways are definitely not God's ways, but His ways are really the only way. But our flesh just seems to get in the way. We want to do everything our own way. At least we need to seek God before we do anything

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares
the  Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11

God knows what is best for us. He sees and knows the big picture. It doesn't matter how big or little our plans and questions are, ask God first.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33

So, we keep rejoicing in the Lord, learning His ways, seeking His face, and "all these things (His kingdom and righteousness) will be given to you as well". And everything will fall into place. At least the way God wants it.

Have a wonderful day!

Les
