HE PAID THE PRICE
Good morning to you!
May God pour His blessings on you forever and evermore!
I pray that you had a wonderful day yesterday. Those kinds of things I will never know. But we can only or I can only trust God that you, my precious reader, are having wonderful days. Remember that joy is from the Lord. Happiness is from the Lord. Everything good in our lives is from the Lord God Almighty. And those things in our lives that are not so good are from the evil one.
God does not do bad things in our lives. He allows things to happen but He does not do bad things to us. I know that there are some people that believe that God causes bad things to happen to people but that is just not true. In the beginning of mankind God gave us free will. And Adam and Eve did the one thing that God told them not to do. And this one thing allowed sin into the world, humanly speaking. And from then on it was downhill. At least as far as sin goes.
But I had never thought of this before. Adam and Eve were not the first to sin. Human sin, yes. But there is more to it than that.
Read Genesis 3:1-7, 12-13.
"Let’s analyze what really happened in verses 1–7. First Satan questioned
God’s word, then he openly lied to Eve, contradicting what God had
said. Then he used the tantalizing bait that humanity could be more like
God by having their eyes opened, knowing things they currently didn’t
know. The real heart of the situation is the statement that Eve thought
the tree was good for food and desirable to make one wise. Why would she
think this? God himself had told Adam (and either God himself or Adam
had told Eve), that eating from the tree would only lead to death. Why
would she (and subsequently Adam) accept the word of a talking serpent
over the word of God? Only doubt of God’s word and subsequently God’s
motives could have led to this tragedy." This is from The First Sin by Troy Lacey, answersingenesis.org. There is much more on this subject at this website.
My, my! I had never thought of there being sin before Adam and Eve sinned. Maybe I had heard it in a sermon before. Oops! Did I not listen? Or did I just forget? Or maybe it doesn't matter. I believe it does matter. But whatever happened is in God's Word. And God's Word is the absolute truth. If it says it, I believe it. And this is where we stand now.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23
But the grand part is this:
He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his
forbearance he had left the sins committed
his justice at the present time, so as to
be just and the
one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Romans 3:24-26
Jesus Christ paid the price for all sin. Praise God for this on our behalf. But how awful on His behalf. But it was all part of God's plan for our redemption.
I hope you believe it also. And even though we were born with sin-nature, we have a way for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus paid the price for our forgiveness. So, now all we have to do is repent and turn from our sin. It doesn't seem easy but God made it possible through Jesus Christ, His Only Son.
If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please think about it. Believe and receive Him into your heart right now. We do not know what tomorrow holds. It is time. Don't let another day go by without giving your heart to Jesus. Today is the day of salvation.
God loves you so very much and He wants to know you personally. Christmas is next week. Let God open your heart to Him. Remember that Jesus is the Heart of Christmas. Without Him, there would not be Christmas.
Have an awesome day!
Love,
Les (lesbear)
