OBEDIENCE



Good morning on this blessed day that the Lord has made!
Help us, Lord, to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow you. May we be the salt and light to those around us as we help others to know You. Help us to be a witness for you in this lost and dying world around us. In Jesus Name, Amen.

We are God's messengers in the world around us. Whether we witness to our family and friends or go outside our comfort zone, it doesn't matter as long as we do it. God gives each of us the Great Commission.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, 
 baptizing them in the name of the Father and 
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching 
them to obey everything I have commanded you. 
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20 

God has plans for each of us and for everyone of us it includes the Great Commission, I believe. So, whatever in our lives we do we are to be a witness for Him. Of course, we are not perfect by any means. But we can do our best to try to be the best we can be. That is all God asks for. He knows we will never be perfect. Only Jesus was perfect. But are we going to be obedient to Him and do what He asks of us? 

 Or are we going to just think about it? I read something today about when God tells us to do something. Are we going to do it right away as God asks or are we going to think about it for a while? I think that God is very happy when we quickly obey as compared to stewing about it for awhile. I am very guilty of having to think about it for awhile. I must work on that.

It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.
Deuteronomy 13:4

So, maybe that is something we can give to God to help us in our New Year's resolutions if we do them. And just maybe we can keep the resolutions more that a week or month.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
