TALK TO GOD

Good morning!

How are you this fine day? I pray that you have been blessed beyond imagination because we all have but sometimes we just don't realize it.

It has been really cold here especially in the mornings. It was only 22* here several mornings and in the day maybe high 30's to low 40's. Although I know it is much colder in other places like -2* in Chicago yesterday. Brrrrr! I am glad I am here and not there. But I guess it is okay if you don't have to go anywhere. But if you work then you do have to go out. I am spoiled when I don't have to go out because I love staying home.

Well, it is getting closer to Christmas. Are you ready? I am definitely not ready. The end of the renovation is getting closer but the last few days will be extremely busy moving furniture and such so that everything is in its place. And then I will have to clean it all. So, the last week before Christmas is going to definitely be crunch time.

Do people ever give you the cold shoulder? Sometimes people will just interrupt you or change the subject or walk away when you are in the middle of a conversation with them. It happened to me yesterday. I was telling someone about something that happened to me recently and it happened. I am not that big of a talker so I don't ramble on. I don't think I am a loud or obnoxious person but maybe I am. I guess what I was talking about was boring. Anyway, it happened. The other person just turned and started to talk to someone else.

It kind of makes me not want to talk to anyone. I was always a shy person when I was a lot younger especially in school. So, I have come a long way. And I guess I am still kind of shy with people I don't know. But God made us who we are. And He won't turn away from us when we talk to Him. He will always be there to talk to and if we listen He will talk to us through His Word and His still small voice. And He will listen to us as long as we want to talk to Him. He loves it when we talk to Him and nothing we say is ever boring or unimportant to Him. And when we talk to Him in this way in prayer, He always answers. Now the answer might be yes, no, maybe, or wait. But He will answer. And if the answer is no, then He has something even better for us.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present
your requests to God. And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus
Philippians 4:6-7

God, who has called you into fellowship with
his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
1 Corinthians 1:9

So, talk to God. Be in fellowship with Him. You can't go wrong. And He will never leave you and will always listen.

Have a beautiful day!
