REMEMBER

Good morning two days after Christmas!

May God be gracious to us and bless us and
make his face shine upon us, "Selah"
Psalm 67:1
Well, my family is still here and I love it even through the noise and chaos. I wouldn't have it any other way. The lack of sleep is kind of getting old. I am going to need a month to catch up. My husband doesn't feel well at all. I think that he is just over tired. We are sleeping in the den downstairs with him on the couch and me on an air mattress. He isn't sleeping much and I have been cold every night. I even had 3 blankets under me and 3 over me. Air mattresses are cold in cool weather.
It is almost New Year's Day. Are you going to do a resolution this new year? How many times have we made one and a few days or weeks or months later forgot about it or gave up on it because we just couldn't keep it. I have. I guess it is just not that important.

I don't know. Maybe I won't even try this new year. Usually I do the exercise thing. And I did pretty good until October. Then I just couldn't keep it up because I got too busy. And as I have written before, the B.U.S.Y. is-being under satan's yoke. He wants us to be too busy so that we don't have time for God. So it is so important that we make sure we have plenty of time for God.

If you wish to read the "too busy blog" I mentioned. Find the 4/16/13 blog. Also, the pictures that I put on my blogs don't stay there for long. For some reason they disappear after a while. It is very disappointing but the way it is.

So, enjoy your day today and remember to keep your focus on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. He loves you so much.

 Have a terrific day!

 Love,
      Les (lesbear)

PRAISE & WORSHIP HIM

Image
Good morning to you on this nippy Saturday morning! It was probably close to 20* when I got up but it has warmed up to 26. Got a call from our company who are coming. They stayed in middle TN last night and woke up to 2" of snow. Ugh!! Pray for traveling mercies.  Well, right now I am hopping back and forth between the computer to post this blog and the crock pot to fix dinner. Well, the crock pot is so full I can't fit another thing in it and it is a 5 qt. one. It will be great. Wouldn't that be awesome if we could be so full of God that we couldn't fit any more of Him in us? Wow! What a thought! I suppose that is how it will be when we get to heaven. We will be as full of Him as we can get. What a wonderful life that will be! Praising and worshiping Him 24/7 although there probably won't be a 24/7 or days and nights. It will be eternity! There is a purpose for all God does. Likewise, there is a purpose for our praise and worship of God. Prais...

PREPARING FOR THE CHOCTAW TRIP

Image
Saturday it is! We leave Saturday  for the Choctaw Mission Trip!  How excited we are! How ready are we? My heart is certainly ready! But the team stuff and my stuff, not so much. Well, I am close and here I sit writing this. I had better get moving. I have been working hard on and off for a year since Bert, my husband, and I are the team leaders. I couldn't do it without Jesus leading and guiding me all the way. He is my hope and my stay (from Hymn-My Hope is Built, verse 3). Every year the team comprises some of the same people-Praise the Lord!-and many new people-Praise the Lord again. This trip is a great first mission trip. We don't go too far (6 hours from Chattanooga) and it doesn't cost a lot of money. To check out trip info (this year's), go to: www.lesbear.wix.com/choctaw . Soon after we get back from this trip, I will try to update the website for the 2017 trip. We go every year and this team has been serving God in this same place sin...

GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US

Image
This is at Panama City Beach a few years ago. The beach is my happy place. It always calms me! Good morning!  It has been quite awhile since I have posted anything. But this morning I feel God nudging me to do it today. I have not slept very well the last few nights. Before that I have been sleeping great. But this is nothing new. When I have something going on I do get nervous for Christmas programs, etc.  One thing on my mind is our daughter's presentation today. A few weeks ago she was named Teacher of the Year at her school. We are so very proud of her. But that entails much more after that. That award puts her in the running for Teacher of the Year in their region. (She works at an Imagine School which is a charter school.) Well, it all happens today, this very morning. She has a 40 minute interview with the imagine team and then that team watches her teach for an hour. I can imagine how scared she is as well as stressed. We told her just ...
