Well, my family is still here and I love it even through the noise and chaos. I wouldn't have it any other way. The lack of sleep is kind of getting old. I am going to need a month to catch up. My husband doesn't feel well at all. I think that he is just over tired. We are sleeping in the den downstairs with him on the couch and me on an air mattress. He isn't sleeping much and I have been cold every night. I even had 3 blankets under me and 3 over me. Air mattresses are cold in cool weather.
It is almost New Year's Day. Are you going to do a resolution this new year? How many times have we made one and a few days or weeks or months later forgot about it or gave up on it because we just couldn't keep it. I have. I guess it is just not that important.

I don't know. Maybe I won't even try this new year. Usually I do the exercise thing. And I did pretty good until October. Then I just couldn't keep it up because I got too busy. And as I have written before, the B.U.S.Y. is-being under satan's yoke. He wants us to be too busy so that we don't have time for God. So it is so important that we make sure we have plenty of time for God.

If you wish to read the "too busy blog" I mentioned. Find the 4/16/13 blog. Also, the pictures that I put on my blogs don't stay there for long. For some reason they disappear after a while. It is very disappointing but the way it is.

 So, enjoy your day today and remember to keep your focus on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. He loves you so much.

PREPARING FOR THE CHOCTAW TRIP

Saturday it is! We leave Saturday  for the Choctaw Mission Trip!  How excited we are! How ready are we? My heart is certainly ready! But the team stuff and my stuff, not so much. Well, I am close and here I sit writing this. I had better get moving. I have been working hard on and off for a year since Bert, my husband, and I are the team leaders. I couldn't do it without Jesus leading and guiding me all the way. He is my hope and my stay (from Hymn-My Hope is Built, verse 3). Every year the team comprises some of the same people-Praise the Lord!-and many new people-Praise the Lord again. This trip is a great first mission trip. IN CHRIST

Good morning to you! Last night we drove to our son and daughter-in-laws to see our oldest grandson in a play at church called Go Go Jonah. It was so good. They go to a very large church and the things they can do for a production like that are amazing. Anyway, it was wonderful. It was a children's choir play and my daughter in law was the stage director as well as the narrator. Our grandson knew every word and his actions are so animated even doing actions when he didn't need to. It was so sweet! So, we got home very late last night in which I was able to sleep in a little. My poor husband still has to get up early and go to work even when we get in late. So, he really has to trust in Christ alone especially on days like that. NEW LIFE

  The tree in my yard outside my window! All the red spots are  buds although they are not real visible in this picture. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ  give you grace and peace.   Ephesians 1:2 NLT Good morning! I am sitting here looking out the window at a tree in my yard. It is February 3 and it is budding already. This means that the tree thinks that it is the start of spring since it has been so warm on and off. The buds are ready to burst forth with new life! We have had cold times this winter thus far but not an extended period. Although today it is cold, about 40*, and somewhat windy. But once the tree starts to bud it doesn't stop unless we have significant freezing weather and the buds freeze and die. We have seasons in our life where things are going really well so we praise God or things are so well we don't need God, so we don't even talk to Him. Shame on us!
