WORSHIP

Good morning to you!

I pray that you had a blessed day yesterday. We did. I spent the day with my husband. We then had a Christmas Banquet last night. The first one of the year. Now tonight I have another one. Looking forward to it.

For some reason there is no cursor. I have not a clue why it is doing it. It makes it very difficult to know what you are doing. And if you make a mistake you can't see where to put the cursor to start over. Ugh!

Help me Lord Jesus! I can't do it without you. I can't do anything without Him. And thank you Lord, the cursor came back. Sometimes I think that computers have a mind of their own.

I started typing this late last night and I started falling asleep. So, I did the smart thing and I went to bed and finished this this morning. And I am so thankful.

I can't thank God enough for all He has done for us. He has blessed us amazingly. But why is He worthy of our praise? I looked up the words worthy and praise.

Worthy is: deserving effort, attention, or respect.

And praise is: the expression of approval or admiration for someone or something. And also the Webster's Dictionary said this: to express thanks to or love and respect for (God).

So, God is worthy. He created all things and He is the God of the universe. He is the great I AM. He is Who He is! And we should worship and adore Him and love Him with all of our heart and all of our soul and all of our mind and all of our strength. Wow! That is with our complete and whole being. Because HE IS WORTHY! And we should praise Him for the same reasons.

And praising God isn't just for His benefit, it is for ours. For one thing is, it takes the focus off of ourselves and puts it on Him, where it should be.

CS Heinz said this: God doesn’t need praise because He’s insecure, we praise God because we’re insecure.

O magnify the Lord with me, and
let us exalt His name together.

Give to the Lord the glory due to
His name; worship the Lord in the
beauty of holiness or in holy array.
 Psalm 29: 2

The twenty-four elders (the members of the heavenly Sanhedrin) fall prostrate before Him Who is sitting on the throne, and they worship Him Who lives forever and ever; and they throw down their crowns before the throne, crying out, Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and dominion, for You created all things; by Your will they were [brought into being] and were created. Revelation 4: 10-11

And I can do that, how about you? I will make a point to praise and worship Him more and more and more.

Have a worshipful day!
