CONTENTMENT




Good morning to you!

Greetings to each one of God's people 
who belong to Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:21a

Hope that you had a blessed Sunday. Wonderful services at church. Warm weather. But this week will be cold again. Ugh! And it will snow in many places again. 

I have heard people say that this winter has been so different as never before. I remember years ago when it was like this every winter all over the north. Well, climate has changed but it is only a cycle. We have cold and blustery winters for 10 or 20 years and then we have warm and mild winters for 10 years or something like that and then it cycles back. It goes back and forth and that is the way it has been since the beginning of the record keeping for weather so really it is nothing new. People just get used to the warm and when it gets cold and snowing it is awful. Well, it will be warm again in the winter one day. You can count on it.

So, enjoy the rain and/or snow and the wind and remember that we can be content in every situation. We don't have to complain. We can just take it as it comes. Besides there is nothing we can do about it at all. God is in control!

Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have 
learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know 
how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any 
and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of
 facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
Philippians 4:11-12

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
