BABY BLESSINGS

 

Good morning!
I am a little late this morning. I went to my son's yesterday to attend my daughter-in-law's baby shower. In just a couple of weeks we will be grandparents again and they will be parents to a new baby boy. We can't wait to meet him. This will be their third and last baby and boy. 

Anyway, I left there this morning when they left for work and school. And I got home a little bit ago. I am ready for a nap. I slept good on my air mattress but I was cold all night. I had set my duffel bag on the heater vent. And if you have ever slept on an air mattress you know that the air inside can get very cold unless you have 10 blankets under you. And I had only 6 thin layers under me.

This scripture always comes to me when I think of babies and children, and in this case my grandchildren.

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a real blessing.
Psalm 127:3

When a woman is about to give birth, she is sad because her hour of suffering has come; but when the baby is born, she forgets her suffering, because she is happy that a baby has been born into the world.
John 16:21

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  
James 1:17

So, there you go. Children are a blessing and anytime that I get to see my children and grandchildren I am very happy and blessed. I pray that you are also.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid.
