SHINE THE LIGHT

Good morning to you!

What a blessed and beautiful day! My husband told me that the forecast was for some snow this morning and then again this afternoon. Well, it was 45* earlier and the sky is as blue as can be with not a cloud on the horizon. I know that clouds can blow in fast but they haven't yet. So, let's enjoy the sun while it lasts. Although the forecasters are known to make mistakes, sometimes more often than not. Oh, well, none of us are perfect!

But Jesus is. Is the Son shining in your life? I want Him to shine every moment of every day in my life. And since I am very, very far from perfect that doesn't always happen. My prayers, hopes, and dreams are that I will all the time but I fail deeply. Lord, forgive me! Actually He is shining in me, I just don't show it a lot. Am I hiding His light under a bushel? I guess I am.

I am going to try to do better at letting His light shine in me. Letting God's light shine may be talking about His Truth but:

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the
life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6

"While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
John 9:5

Jesus is the way. Jesus is the truth. Jesus is the life. And He is the light. So, if we are going to let His light shine through us, we are pointing others to Him, to His way, to His truth, and to His life. And that is what I want to do. That is what we are supposed to do.

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim
the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes
and is baptized will be saved, but whoever
does not believe will be condemned.
Mark 16:15-16

In the same way, let your light shine before others,
so that they may see your good works and
give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in
heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go
therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all
that I have commanded you. And behold, I am
with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20

Let's do it! All of us are called to do it. Not just some of us. Let's let the light of Jesus shine through us and tell others all about Him!

Have a wonderful day!
