WORK HARD

uploaded to pinterest

Good morning!

It is Friday, the gateway to the weekend. Only eight more hours of work (for most people) until time off. And two whole days off. What are you going to do this weekend? Now I know that there are times when we need to work on the weekend. My husband works a lot of Saturdays.

A lot of people have their weekend during the week. Everyone has a different work schedule. And for some, days off are at a premium. Some people work seven days a week. And these days, if we have a job we are very blessed. Now that doesn't mean that you aren't blessed if you don't have a job. We are blessed anyways.

What I am saying is these days people with a job are very, very fortunate because there are so many people without a job. And there are many out there looking for a job and can't find one. But a job will happen if we don't give up. And we keep working to fine one. That is work in itself!

A job means that you don't have to depend on others, family, friends, government. I know some people are lazy and don't want to work and want to live off others. But God says these things:

For even when we were with you, we commanded
you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.
2 Thessalonians 3:10

Whatever you do, work heartily,
as for the Lord and not for men,
Colossians 3:23

Commit your work to the Lord
and your plans will be established.
Proverbs 16:3

A slack hand causes poverty, but
the hand of the diligent makes rich.
Proverbs 10:4

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your
might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge
or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.
Ecclesiastes 9:10

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever
you do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31

Now we don't want anyone to starve. And we know that some people can't work physically. But God wants us to have a good work ethic. God wants us to work and do a great job at whatever we do, for we should not do it for others but for the glory of God. This I believe includes working at home. If we work at home or are a stay-at-home mom or housewife or whatever, we should do the very best we can working at home and do it all for the Lord. Because taking care of a family and a home is work. We shouldn't be a couch potato! We do it because we love our family and love God even more!

This kind of goes back to being content from yesterday's blog. Be content in your job until such time as God wants to open the door to change. And if we can't stand our job, be content anyway and spend a lot of time in prayer, knowing that God has a plan and that you are there for a reason. And when your reason for being there is finished, God will open the door with a new plan. And His plans are perfect. We must wait on Him and trust Him.

Work hard and have a blessed day!

Love,
