CARE


Good morning on this Sabbath Day!

Did you have a great Saturday? My day was pretty good. My husband worked and then came home and mowed. I worked  and finished up lots of paperwork for the mission trip. Still have lots to do. And we leave pretty soon. I also did my first blueberry picking. Picked quite a few. And they really tasted good on mint chocolate chip ice cream, believe it or not.

My husband had made up a menu for the mission trip and we bought part of the food for it. Would you believe that we lost the menu? I am telling you. The devil has been doing things to try to take our focus off of Jesus. But I am doing my best to keep my eyes on the Lord. And I will not fret. God will take care of us.

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain 
you; He shall not permit the righteous to be moved.” 
Psalm 55:22

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of 
God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all 
of your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 
1 Peter 5:6-7
 
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy 
laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you 
and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
 and you will find rest for your souls. For 
My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” 
Matthew 11:28-30

So, God will take care of us. He will sustain us. We shall not be moved. He will give us rest. All we need to do is cast our care upon Him. We must humble ourselves and pray. We must come to Him. We must take the yoke of Christ upon us and learn from Him.

It sounds hard and maybe it is but we need to do it anyway. He will care for us and He will help us whenever we ask but we must ask. He is waiting for us to do our part so He can do His part.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
