FATHER KNOWS BEST

 
Good morning on this great Saturday! 

How are you today? I pray all is well with my wonderful readers. It is so awesome to know that God has orchestrated this blog and He knows all our needs and even our wants. And He supplies all our needs and even some of our wants. He knows exactly what we need and gives us what is best for us. Our Heavenly Father knows best!

Remember the TV show Father Knows Best. It started in 1954. I remember watching it when I was an older kid. I assume it was reruns since that was the year I was born. But in the show the father knew what was best for his whole family, the stay-at-home wife and three children. I looked it up and it is actually rerunned on Antenna TV but we don't get that on DishNet. 

Anyway, I liked the show at the time. The father was the one with the wisdom and was understanding and the perfect father figure. Since no one is perfect and our Heavenly Father is, He is the only one Who can and will be our perfect Father, our Heavenly One. 

Be perfect, therefore, as your 
heavenly Father is perfect.
Matthew 5:48

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming 
down from the Father of the heavenly lights, 
who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17
 
God loves us. He supplies all our needs. He wants to give us gifts. The perfect gift is Jesus, His One and Only Son. But He gifts us with so many other things also. He wants us to live for Him and try to be like Him. So, as we live day by day, we must pray and read His Word in order to know what we have to do and learn to be like Him. And HE knows best.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
