GOD'S GET AWAY

Good day to you on this wonderful Saturday!

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. I pray that you had a great night. I am still at the retreat and we go home today. We have laughed until we cryed. We have cryed until we laughed. We have prayed. We have sung songs. We have ate and ate and ate. We have shopped. We have fellowshipped. We have told stories of the past. Some of us went hiking. We have had a great time. When you get all pastor's wives together of all ages, it can be really fun.

You know sometimes you just have to get away from the everyday routine and have fun. It is okay to get away. If you don't, you can really get burned out. And you don't want that to happen with your husband or your kids or your job. And it can happen. I guess we don't always admit it but it does happen.

We need to let God fill us with His Spirit and cleanse us and renew us. He will fill us with refreshment and peace if we ask Him.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2 Corinthians 5:17

Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Psalm 51:12

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalm 51:10

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2

So take a breather even if it is just a walk in the woods, or down the street or to the park. But get away and just think and pray, and pray and think and let God soothe your soul.

He will you know!

Have a blessed day!

Les
